Taffy Town Gourmet Golden Pear Salt Water Taffy, 5 Lb Bag

We got a knock-off bag- it was not taffy town. I got this specifically for my boyfriend who loved the strawberry flavor taffy town when we were at the beach last weekend. The label on it did not look anything like the picture- it was candy korner- and the color was way off. Sending them back today. Be aware of knock-offs- don't accept a fake as the real thing.

I confess to being addicted to "salt water taffy," which I have enjoyed since childhood. While I do not claim to being an expert about food or candy, I do know what I like and I surely do like this taffy! No, make that "LOVE this taffy!" in part because I am particularly addicted to peppermint; to my taste buds, this flavoring tastes great. And the "price is right," so yes I do plan to order another package, once I use up this one, which will take a while! So this is intentionally an endorsement of this product and this producer! And of course the mailing was exemplary, as I do expect by (and through!) "Amazon"! One thing to add - some few commented about what they received being perhaps old because it was "hard" ... well, I have a possible solution for I just learned something that others might already know, that warming makes any less than chewy morsel "soft" again. I store this candy in a transparent glass jar in a spot that in this season of the year gets several hours of sun, so just now I found something that requires a little time in my mouth to get "soft and chewy" now comes out of the jar in that state! So, enjoy with me!!

I bought these as part of my wedding candy buffet (turquoise and gold colors). I feel like people normally kind of just skip over the salt water taffy but I love passionfruit so I got these anyway. The people who tried it all loved it (and were surprised by how much they liked it!). There wasn't much left over. They don't taste anything like actual passionfruit (the fruit), but it does taste like processed passionfruit flavor (the fruit's juice tastes VERY different when fresh vs when it's bottled - this is definitely closer to the latter). Still delicious though.If I'm in the mood for chewy candy, I would definitely re-purchase these. I haven't seen many vendors sell the passionfruit flavored ones, so it's not available on a lot of other candy sites.

What a HUGE bag of taffy!! It was well packaged arrived fresh & tasty. This brand of taffy is our favorite for their amazing melt-in-your-mouth flavors AND because it is processed in a NUT-FREE facility! Thank you Taffy Town!!

The chocolate malt flavor tastes nothing like chocolate or malt. I was hoping to have a taste of those old fashioned malt type milkshakes or Whoppers malted milk balls, but sadly, this taffy did not deliver. It is still good taffy and even though I’m enjoying it, I won’t buy it again simply because it doesn’t taste like malt.

We ordered a variety of red and white candies to fill jars for client gifts at work. Every single person in our office who tasted this flavor of taffy has been repulsed by it. It does not taste like red velvet cake. I'm not sure how to describe what it tastes like, but it's not something any of us wanted to try a second time in order to better understand. We feel a little guilty for subjecting our clients to this taste sensation.We ordered several other Taffy Town flavors, all of which were perfectly fine. If you're looking for red and white swirls, try the Red Licorice flavor, which has been much more popular.

This sassy taffy is so delectable. I bought some at a candy shop near my house a few months ago, and the delicious flavor has haunted my every waking moment. So! I eventually broke down and bought more. Five pounds more, to be precise. I'm an adult now and I can use my hard-earned money for ludicrous things like five freaking pounds of taffy. Luckily, the taffy was way cheaper here than it was at my local store so I didn't even feel too guilty.I was worried that the candy from this listing would be hard or taste like the inside of an abandoned warehouse but it came sealed up so the candy was deliciously fresh and still soft. I have very begrudgingly shared this candy with several friends and everyone has loved it. I especially recommend this taffy to those whose palates are inclined toward sour things.

This was not what I had ordered. I purchased 12 taffy flavors from this company. All were great except this one. This was not the same quality, ingredients and came in different packaging with a different company name. It was a completely different product. Tasted like straight plastic and was covered in oil. All of their other flavors were excellent. I had to open this to taste so am not able to return, but am really hoping for a replacement with their real strawberry Taffy.

YUMMY!! Best flavor ever! Sounds gross but these will soon be your fav! Fresh, soft and so much cheaper than those specialty candy stores!

This taffy is AWFUL. It has a very nasty, chemical taste and is inefible. I’m going to pursue a refund on this product.

This taffy tastes okay, but it's nowhere near the watermelon flavor it's supposed to be. Disappointing.

There were about a lb. Of the taffy that was stuck together had to chuck that part.but the rest was ok a little hard but ok.it would be nice if they would race that part.

Package arrived on time but it definitely does NOT taste anything like licorice it’s more like a very cheap sugary Carmel, oh and the smell of them 🤢 sorry but it’s true
