Clover 7802 Iron Finger

I've been sewing on and off since I was 11 years old. Finally I have a useful tool that keeps my fingers from getting steamed, and it also flattens small seams. Originally I was going to purchase this item from an online sewing company, but luckily found the same product on Amazon for a lot lower price.

I have burned my fingers over the years while ironing and when I saw this item I immediately had to purchase and I am so glad I did. This item allows me to hold down seams close to the iron and not fear getting burned. The material it is made of is extremely comfortable and not slippery so it stays firmly in your hand. This is absolutely perfect for anyone who does a lot of ironing, whether for crafting or just daily living.

Well, I read the reviews before purchasing the Iron Finger, and they were right-it's huge! It does help for; ironing a 1/4" folded back piece of small fabric to hide a raw edge, holding fabric securely in place when ironing small areas, making crisp corners. It definitely helps in preventing the iron from scorching your fingers when you're ironing very small pieces of fabric. I haven't used it as a seam roll for opening seams but can see it's utility in that situation. I'm sure there are any number of uses I haven't even thought of for this product. I do wish it was a bit smaller, and maybe a bit lighter. But all in all another great Clover ironing aide.

When turning material that doesn't have room to press seam open, this item works perfect....and without burning your fingers. I couldn't tell you how many face masks I've made with ties for around the back of head. That way they can be worn has a head band and pulled down when needed as a mask. (Or draped around the neck.) The point being you will always have your mask. Anyway, the hardest part was pressing that darn seam and Clover Iron Finger sure helped.

This stick is great. Helps with edges and place or space marking. Sometimes it’s the little things in sewing tools that can make such a difference along the way....and prevent you from having a tantrum like fit and packing everything away another UFO (un-finished object) for the books.... not that crafters ever give up. This tool is a great addition to your arsenal of sewing and crafty thingimabobs.

It's thicker than I was expecting, which makes it awkward to hold when using it to hold the fabric away from the iron. It works reasonably well for finger-pressing, but not better than my fingers or the bamboo corner tool I've used in the past. It's pretty good for seams, but a wooden steam stick or seam roll would be better.Sometimes multi-use tools don't do any one task well.

There is nothing they make that you don't need! You might even consider replacing one or both of your hands with this, it is that awesome.

Great silicone ironing finger! This is really huge, but practical and very useful. I can see using this for many sewing tasks. Pleased with purchase and quality of product.
