Best bang for buck
This has been the best functioning device for my lighting. I now use it for two bands and the theater company I work with. It works great with a lot of digital platforms and can function via a modem.

Solid, reliable ArtNet Node!
Just what I needed when building my lighting rig. The metal housing is well made, and the professional locking PowerCon connector makes this a great option for anyone that needs just two ArtNet universes. The setup was fairly straight forward, if you have experience with setting up network devices, and there are tons of videos online that can help. I have been using it weekly at shows since I received it and have had no issues at all. Very satisfied with this product.

Excelent it beat in quality performance and price to all competitors
Wow, great product. The Entech is cheap plastic and costs 169 dollars—what an insult. The others also overprice; this one is great—it has an LED screen to change the IP easily manually. It is finished in total metal, no plastic, and works like a charm.

Good interface
Warning, this isn’t as plug and play as it might seem. I was out of options with my USB DMX adapter as my lighting inventory grew. I decided to take the plunge with an Art-Net unit, and QLC+ recommended this one. It took me a while because you have to manually change your network adapter if you’re plugging directly into this, or change your network. I read tutorials, watched videos, tried options from forums, finally had to call in a friend. Once the unit was talking to the computer via the network, things went smoothly. I have up to 8 universes to use which should last a while. No issues as of yet, seems to be the upgrade I was hoping for. Knocked one star off because of the setup and the manual leaves a lot to be desired. Also, it would have been nice if it was RDM compliant like most of their splitters. Works fine so far with QLC+ and ETC Eos, so seems compatible.

great for lights
bought to replace a much more expensive unit that broke. works as described. configuration was easy and performance has been rock solid. no issues after 6 months. highly recommended if using to run light shows with ethernet -dmx. will buy again if just to have a standby or create another universe. priced right!

Works well. PoE works fine. Power too.
Let me start by saying that I am an electrical engineer and have designed professional AV gear for over 20 years. I have designed many products with PoE and PowerCon connectors. I read the other reviews talking about PoE and dangerous power issues and I was confident that I have the skills to debug PoE and keep myself safe. Turns out it wasn't a problem. I had zero power, PoE, or safety issues. Before using the AC power (Powercon) connector I testing the wiring of the outlet and it was fine. I powered it up and tested it again and there were zero problems. I did open it up to look at the design and again, it was fine. There is additional insulation inside to prevent the AC power from shorting against the metal case. I then powered it up with my D-Link PoE Ethernet switch. I have previously tested this switch and know that it does a very good job of complying to the PoE specification. So while I haven't put this product on a US$15K PoE compliance tester, I am confident that its PoE implementation is good. It should be mentioned that most PoE products do not meet the full PoE spec, so it is not uncommon to have compatibility issues. I believe the other reviewers who report PoE problems, but I don't place all the blame on this product. I had no PoE issues. Everything else works as expected. It took me 5 minutes to get it working . Zero issues. I would recommend this product, and I know I will be buying more of them.

Lack of documentation, support and manageability
At one point it is great device... it is very convenient to have PoE or PowerCON device hooked up to the network, all DMX cables connected and wired and management PC and soft connected wired or wireless to the same network... Resolute Arena detects it right away, just it assumes for matrix screen and just sends image to it, not for regular lighting controlls... ChamSys MagicQ MQ50 and MQ70 decks also manage to work with it.. When it comes to DMX Workshop - it also easily finds, configured and communicates with it... just whatever you try to assign for Gateway IP, it turns to some unknown address, you can only set IP and Subnet. Nmap network scanner also finds it, but declares all 65K ports are set to ignore state, so there is no response from this device to any ports - which becomes an issue if you try to use it with ADJs CompuShow, MyDMX3 or MyDMX5 apps... CR041R has to be first configured in Hardware manager and there you have port 2431 (6454 usual for ArtNet) and password fields and neither leaving them blank or using admin or some standard ones work... As mentioned, device itself works, some apps and tools manage to work with it but based of country of origin, site has only "Support" for sales and doesn't give a S for tech support - no documentation or firmware download, nor online support... Even MS CoPilot can't find if anyone even successfully managed to configure under those lighting apps...

Works!
Works as designed, the software is a bit sketchy chineseium but if you can figure out how to interface with it by paying attention to the manual and online videos, you’ll have no problems!

I'm using this via wireless repeater to connect a DMX controller to my wireless network during live shows. One I'd read up about Artnet needing a subset mask of 255.0.0.0 this connects senselessly into my network. Configuration is super easy. All the instructions are linked to a QR code in the documentation, and you can use The Artistic Licence software which is free. I may even buy a second one as currently I'm using an Air2DMX receiver. This means I have to fix the wireless channel on my router. It's much cheaper combined with a WiFi repeater than the air2dmx. Robust metal box, easy to setup and works well. I'm asuming other reviewers who have had problems haven't set up their network properly to pass artnet UDP signals.

I've moved all our lighting to these adapters. I use them with QLC+ mostly, in both single and multiple universes. They are really good performers. Once the IP is set on them, they are pretty much straight forward to use. I like they SO much better than the USB ->DMX adapters. Ethernet locks in. Since FOH usually has a network cable, most of these adapters I just put up in the truss or near the light stands and just run a piece of ethernet to them right on the network with our audio and other computers. Integrates very nicely.
