Boat use
Very durable and sturdy on the boat. My daughter put her heavy and obnoxious Stanley cup in it and it stayed for the boat ride and never moved. Works great

Perfect for drummers!
I bought this back in 2014, it is now 2024. Fantastic! I use them on my drumset to hold my drumsticks and a drink. Doesn't get any better!

The unofficial official drink holder on professional movie carts
My understanding is that these were originally designed to attach to your boat to hold fishing rods but I work on movie and television sets and noticed that everyone had a Robocup attached to their camera carts to hold their drinks and various nicknacks. The clamping spring is a little workout on its own to open. It's very strong and will definitely not slide or slip off of a sturdy pipe, rod, or tripod. I personally most mine to the vertical center column of my Jimmy Jib tripod to hold my drinks and tools on set. I would highly recommend!

These are awesome, just buy them.
These spring loaded clamp on cup holders work great on my 1 inch boat railing on a flybridge. They support two full 20 oz hydroflasks, or 2 16 ounce cans (with coozies). Have never slipped, even in some rough waves. I use two of these, would add more if I had more vertical rails to put them on!

Useful for gravity fed bolus meals if you have a button type g-tube
I use this as a holder for gravity fed meals. ( have a feeding tube) It works perfectly for this purpose, as there is the hole at the bottom of the cup so the tubing can come down through it. I posted about it on my website (tubechic.com) if you want to learn more about how it works for me. I do have a low profile button type g-tube, so I use extension sets. I don't think it would be that helpful if you have a dangler type g-tube.This cup holder is very well made, and the grip is strong. No worries at all about it sliding down whatever it is clamped onto.I use the ROBOCUP in conjunction with the FIFO (brand) condiment bottles to hold my meals. These bottles are available on Amazon too. You'll need to get the "precision dispenser tip" in addition to the basic bottle that ships though. This cap is on Amazon as well, but last I looked, the vendor was charging way too much. Its a better deal to get the tip somewhere else. The reason I use the bottles, is they open on both ends, so air can displace contents of the bottle, and meals can flow out. No pouring into a syringe needed. There is a post about the FIFO on Tube Chic too. (and a short video showing it in action) You can either just loosen the end once the bottle is inverted for a meal, or get the vented cap for that end of the bottle too. I don't think this is on Amazon (I purchased the vented caps directly from FIFO)The ROBOBCUP and FIFO bottle are winning combinations for hassle free, spill free gravity fed meals.

Great overall for our boat, just wish they were a little deeper
I saw these cup holders on someone's boat and faces been looking for something like this for 4 years! They raved about them so I gave them a shot. So far they are pretty great. The only design change I'd wish for is that the base not go so narrow. I'm not sure why the manufacturer made each base bottom with a very narrow section if unusable space. I imagine there was some reason, but as I use 24oz drink cups they are a bit shallow. I've had these only for a month, and so far my cups haven't bumped out under tow, even at 45mph on the water, which makes me pretty happy. One other think to know: I can only use them on my more narrow poles. It would be nice to have a variation that has a wider spring grip, but for now these work good. If that changes, I'll update my review. Love how many colors they offer, hope to see even more in the future!

Great grip holds tight to the chair snd doesn’t move
I use it on my set chair for work. I’m work in film and television and sit a good portion of the day watching. This holds drinks and doesn’t slide up and down the arm of the chair. Doesn’t matter the type of chair it will grip.
