Re-cane webbing a chair worked well with this product
The media could not be loaded. This cane was of good quality. It is 5/8 inch medium webbing. Having good wedges also helps. I ordered those from same company. When I received the cane I soaked it in water for 10 minutes then unrolled it and placed it flat and used weights to keep it down. Next morning it was ready to go.I made a template and cut this to match and then soaked it for about 30 minutes and dried with a towel. I started with the first wedge and after aligning it placed wedges on 4 sides then taped it in with the 5th wedge. I also soaked the spline as well. After taping it in I glued and secured the spline and used a chisel to cut off excess. This is my first time doing this but this cane was flexible enough inside the groove that it was fairly easy. If I have any future projects I will stick with this cane.I had tried another cane that I also ordered on Amazon. It was so brittle, even after soaking for 3 hours it broke as I was tapping it into the groove. I was about to give up and ordered this product for one more attempt. This one worked well. I guess all Rattan cane is not created equal.

Beautiful and Easy to work with
I love this rattan. IMPORTANT, make sure you follow the directions on the listing to soak the rattan in water for 10 minutes before unrolling or cutting. Before I soaked it (before I read the directions) I unrolled it to make sure the length was good for the project I had in mind. Unrolling before soaking make the rattan vulnerable, it unrolled with ease after soaking. I did flatten the rattan under weighted items for 24 hours to make sure it kept its shape. Also, I was able to cut the rattan in half to use for my project and didn’t experience any fraying. I did use glass backing behind the rattan for support, so I can’t say for certain if I had stapled the rattan to the furniture piece, but speculating I think it would be just as stable. 10/10, would order again.

Quality material just be careful
We used this to create a revamped look to our drab wood grain cabinets. We tried to copy the style of something we saw on social media. The material does the trick! It's easy to cut but the only concern we have is that as soon as you cut it the material is very sharp if frayed. But I think thats just the nature of this particular material anyway.

First time Caning!
I ordered this to repair a chair for a friend's kitchen chair. Watched a YouTube video and tackled the job. You definitely need to soak the cane before putting it into the chair, but this was very sturdy and worked great for the repair. The spline I ordered was a bit too big, but ended up using staples along with it and since it was underneath, no one sees it anyway. Even the manufacturer used staples putting it together. This is an art that isn't done too much anymore, but it is doable if you have patience and the tools. I needed my friend's help because didn't have wooden wedges to hold the reed spline in place at times. But it was fun and I felt very accomplished after the task was complete. The cane was very good and I highly recommend it!

The cabinet door redo
The solid insert of cabinet door was replaced with a cane insert painted white. It was difficult to get the cane flat then dried out.
