I'm a natural ginger, so I've got extremely sensitive skin. (Even had to be treated for sun allergy when I was a kid.) Most polyester gives me a rash, (sometimes even a bloody rash) so I generally stick with natural fabric. There are different types of polyester, and I seem to be okay with some (higher quality?) types, but since most of them 'rash me out,' I'm hesitant to try anything that has poly in it.I'm disabled now, so I use a wheelchair and also get cold very easily. since not walking effects my circulation. It helps to keep my legs covered, but the only small "throw" blanket I had was made of rather rough material, and heavier than I needed. So when I had to use the old one, I'd end up all sweaty—not a good thing when it's difficult to get in and out of the shower. Meanwhile, Sis has a bunch of beautiful throws, which I envy but can't touch without instant itching madness.So I kept looking for something that would work, and started an Amazon list of possibilities. This one was at the top of the list. I loved the furry texture and blue tie-dye pattern, but that word—"polyester"—made me wary.Finally, I decided to give it a try. I figured, if it made me itch, I could return it. Sis wasn't keen on the idea, since she's the one who'd have to take it to Kohls, and every time we've returned something there, they've messed it up, EVERY SINGLE TIME—and based on past experience, she was sure buying this was a waste of time, with a resulting itchy rash in my future. But since I'd just had my birthday, she reluctantly indulged me.When it arrived, I carefully removed it from the wrapper. My hands were already cringing, conditioned to fear the material. But it was so unbelievably soft—and nothing else. I kept waiting for the itching to begin, but it never happened.I actually wondered for a moment if it was some kind of "reverse hypochondria," with me wanting so badly for it to work that I somehow mentally blocked the itchiness. Nope. I sat next to it for hours, stroking it with one hand, waiting to see if my skin started turning red. Nothing happened.So I now have the softest blanket I've ever owned! I don't even know how to describe the exquisite texture in words. It's the perfect weight: heavy enough to keep me comfortably warm without being too hot, but light enough not to put pressure on my stick-like legs. I told Sis it's like the perfect "Mama Bear" blanket!It's also the perfect size for my chair, and...have I mentioned how incredibly SOFT it is? When not in use, it's folded over the back of my recliner, and I pet it like a cat every time I pass by. I keep burying my face in its incredible fluffiness, and rubbing my cheek against it. Sheer bliss!Sis has all these beautiful throws, in gorgeous colors and patterns, which I envy but can never touch. I guess you could say she collects them. Now I finally have one for me! It may seem like a small thing, and it's probably petty, but when one sibling gets something that the other can't have—well, it just doesn't seem fair. She still has more of them than I do—but mine is softer, and I think it's prettier, too.We haven't washed it yet, so if it totally falls apart when we do, I'll revise this review. It really hasn't shed, other than two small pieces of lint that I think were already loose when it was packaged. When I opened it, neither appeared to be attached to the throw itself, so it was probably something that came off in the factory during packing.I have cats, so I worried about them getting on it and causing snags. A number of other reviewers said their pets loved it. None of my cats seem to like it, though. I think it's because it's a bit slippery when they try to walk across it. I only have one lap cat, and he freaked when he first jumped up on it. But I keep a small cushion for him to lay on when he's in my lap—his weight creates too much pressure otherwise, and he gets a bit too enthusiastic when he "kneads bread"— and as soon as he was on his pillow, he relaxed. As the evening wore on, he did res his head on the throw, but didn't seem inclined to do more than that. That's just fine with me.I'm on a fixed income, so I can't just buy whatever I want, whenever I want it. But this throw remains at the top of my throw blanket list, and I might just invest in another one, sometime in the future. Maybe more than one.So I'd like to encourage anyone like myself, who has issues co-existing with polyester, to take a chance on this throw. I'm not a doctor or a prophet, so I can't guarantee that this will be benign with everyone else, but as the most skin-sensitive person I know, personally, I'd say this throw is worth taking a chance on.

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this throw. It is so delicious. Exactly what I was looking for. I had given one to my mom and it was so pretty and soft I had to get another for me. Its not fur - although described here as that. it’s more like a shaggy rug. It’s soooo light and fluffy and super soft. It’s light enough you can use it all the time yet somehow also keeps you warm if needed. I sleep with this. Love crawling into my bed with this waiting for me. Makes a great gift!WARNING: Spot wash or wash in gentle cycle but DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER. The dryer will ruin it - it will come out looking like an old beat up sheep. I know from experience of ruining other throws like this. Lay it out to dry naturally and shake it occasionally to fluff it and separate the fibers. Some people even comb them down afterwards but should not need that.

This blanket is the softest blanket EVER. My children and I love it sooooo much. It is lightweight so it will keep you warm but not hot. I was scared to wash it but after running it through the washer I hung it over a door to air dry and it still looked brand new. I would not stick it in the dryer at all. It took only about 3 to 4 hours to air dry. This would make the perfect gift for anyone who needs sensory comfort. Or just loves soft things. My favorite blanket ever and it dresses up your couch or bed it not only feels good but looks good.

My sister was visiting and would not let this throw go; she kept saying how soft and cozy it is and she is right. This throw is not only beautiful, it's soooo soft and cuddly, and it was definitely worth the price. I'll probably purchase another one for my bedroom.

This blanket adds a touch of style to our bedroom and feels light for summer use. While it looks quite lux, I noticed that the faux fur material can be slightly itchy at times, which is the only downside. However, if you're looking for a chic and lightweight summer blanket, this one is a great option.

I bought this blanket for my son for his birthday and he loves it! It is so, incredibly soft! It is a lightweight blanket but still very warm! It’s nice that it is not a heavy blanket. Washes well. I did hang it to dry, according to the instructions. It maintained the softness after the wash.

I ordered this blanket thinking I would get more of a bright pink like the pictures show. In person the link is much softer. When I first saw it in the packaging I thought I would return it, because it wasn’t what I wanted. But after opening it up and laying it out I still like the shade of pink I got and am happy to keep it. It’s super soft and has a decent weight to it. I got the twin size to use as a large lap blanket.

I purchased this product in white as a throw for my living room sofa. It is so soft and cozy. I had purchased previously in brown for my family room. My husband uses it often to cover up with. We are really happy with these throws. They also add a nice touch to the decor along with the cosy, warmth they provide.

This blanket is beautiful and a little fluffy. Nice on the bed but not good for warmth. Just an addition to the top looks lovely.

I washed the blanket when I received it because as with all products of this type it was shedding. I washed it on cold, delicates and dried it on delicates. It came up beautiful and actually shedded less than I expected.If you look at the picture that I enclosed, you will see my deciding factor. It's almost a perfect match for my dog who does shed a lot! I keep it on my bed for decorative, and practical reasons. It is incredibly soft and cuddly!
