I have a non working thumb on my non dominant hand. After cross stitching for an hour or two my bad hand has terrible cramps. This is game changer for me and I didn’t even realize this hoop was a thing. I can see in my recliner while my husband watches Tv, in bed and even in the car. So happy I found the hoop system!!!!!

Pros:1: It does make holding your work easier2: It is elegant and if you stain it, it would look like an antique piece, minus the one plastic knob on the center-telescoping post.Cons:1: I wish the included a couple of more wooden covers for the screws so that all screw would be hidden.2: I also wish the peg that holds the telescoping post was not made of plastic when the rest was wood.This is a great product conceptually, but I really wish I had received the rectangular piece of wood that holds the pattern. It was not worth the hassle to have to return the entire product because of this. The reason is we are handy and we were able to fabricate this piece ourselves.The other thing to note is that I would love to be able to swivel the pattern holder arm as well because I am one of those who enjoys turning my work depending on the area I am concentrating on.There was also a pink mark on the wood on the center piece that I will need to sand to remove, so mine may have been a return.

It is useful but I had to glue the screw and wood that connects the stand to the part that goes under the thigh after using three times. So far I have been able to continue using it. I suggest the block on the bottom that connects be made wider with two screws. I also suggest that the part that makes it taller be made at least 2 1/2 inches taller so we won’t have to hunch while working on our craft.

I think this is definitely good for its purpose. I just don't really use it as much as i thought i would. I just embroider by holding my hoops. Its still great though. Would be a good gift for people who like embroidering.

It doesn’t have a nut to tighten the two plates that hold the hoop.It’s useless

Didn't work for me, used tp holding my projects, had a hard time getting around the part holding up the hoop. Didn't keep, amazon was great with return policy

This stand is perfect to use on a chair or couch. Holds the work up so I can use both hands for the needle.
