The media could not be loaded.  this device is used for measuring blood alcohol content and I purchased it for home use as we do host poker nights and wine tastings. Obviously is someone is visibly intoxicated we will do all we can to deter them from driving off. But even when are attendees have had time to sober up I still afford them the opportunity to try out this device just to be sure. We have alot of deputies and state police around us as we are on a main road and wanted to make sure everyone is safe not only by how they feel but also according to the law. I wanted to test the accuracy of this item so a friend that attends poker nights happens to be a deputy and has a breathalyzer in his trunk. With myself as the very willing guinea pig I downed 3 alcoholic beverages in an hour and blew into this device and then the one used by local law enforcement. I didn't expect it to be exactly the same as it depends on regular calibrations but it was only off by .1 which is actually really good. This is a much smaller device and for it to be that close I was surprised. So I am confident that this breathalyzer is the real deal and we can use it without any false or misleading data.

But seriously-it’s a great piece of tech to use at any function.The screen is really is to read. Even if the user is in no state to discern numbers- it lights up in orange “caution” and when numbers are high enough it light up red “danger”. It turns on automatically when the cover is raised and the air port exposed. The cover slides up and down, but never comes completely off making it impossible to lose. There’s a warm up countdown that takes about 10 seconds then immediately a countdown for breathing starts. It takes about 10 seconds of breath to get accurate results. The numbers are clear to see and the colored warning lights pop up (in case you can’t read numbers). You don’t put your mouth on it. So multiple people can use this without cross contamination.

This was a fun device to use after drinking at a bachlor party. We played a game of who could blow the highest.

Very small and handy when you might need it. Also very accurate to use as a good reference.
