Replacement Flush Valve for Kohler Toilet 84499, 83095, 83650 - Made in USA!

This was a 15 minute repair and I got a perfect seal both on the tank and flapper on the first try. I almost bought a generic valve, but then I took the time to find the tank model number (imprinted on the inside back wall of the tank), and spent an extra couple of bucks for this one. I couldn't be happier.

Bought this to replace one on an older Rialto toilet. The part was too big, even a professional plumber could not make it work. We ended up taking parts of this one and replacing worn parts in the toilet for an acceptable solution.

On Rialto toilet, don't know the model number but assume from around 1986 when the house was built. I tried piecemeal replacements from Home depot first for a leaking tank, seals, flapper etc didn't work, I broke down bought the whole kit here and easily repaired perfectly.

Flush valve installs and seals just fine, but the flapper is a knock-off copy that doesn’t hold water.Had to go buy an original Kohler flapper; and you can see the difference.Works fine now.

Easy to install

over flow much larger than the original. it appears as though the engineer that re-designed this flush valve did not get together with the engineer that designed the ballcock. the over flow is too large this does not allow proper installation of the float. the linkage between the float and the valve has to be shortened so much to get it installed the there is not enough leverage for the float to shut off the flow of water coming in.

Impossible to replace this item in the designated Kohler toilet. Spent over a week trying to fit it. Finally gave up.

If you have an old Kohlor low toilet this is the kit you need for the flush valve. It is a pain to install but that is not the manufacturers fault that rests with Kohlor who replace it soon after with the twist in place replacement.
