The deer eat Everything in my backyard, especially in the fall when they are struggling to find food. I try to plant only low browse plants but sometimes I need to be able to start a shrub (that has young leaves) that needs to get mature before the deer will leave it alone. These do the trick. They don’t last forever but they do work.(buy them on subscribe and save!) They also work on husbands as my husband said he couldn’t sit out on the patio for a few days because they were so strong. Oh well - at least I will have pretty shrubs in the spring!!

they have been on my plants on my patio for 2 weeks, flowers and basil untouched by deer. This morning one of the pots metal supports that the little bags were hanging on was knocked over with the bag laying on patio wall. Looked like it had been chewed and inside block was oozing out the mesh netting. The flowers remained untouched. I even hung one on my bird feeder, not sure it is working there. Haven't spotted deer raiding the feeder but it is down half way. Normally feeder is empty in one night. The product has a pleasant smell, but not sure if it will continue to deter those ravenous critters. I'm somewhat hopeful..Package delivered quickly. Metal supports came from the inside of political signs, seemed to work well stretching the bags strings over the 2 posts. Hope photo shows. Worked for a while, but this morning, June7th, my impatients - 2 pots worth, and all my basil are gone, darn deer. Had the bags hanging above the leaves/flowers on the metal supports, they went around them, had 1 bag on each plant. Sorry to say the success of this product went down the tubes last night. Also since first review, the bird feeder idea didn't work either, the deer simply went to the other side of the feeder, so I removed the whole feeder. Simply nothing seems to keep the deer away.

I live in a quiet suburban street...with a huge Forrest at one end and a massive meadow and Forrest in the back of my house ...and that means deer. This is Summer #3 for me at this house and last year was the first year o had planted anything. All was well, but the deer did mess with my neighbors flowers This year I added a new rose bush to the front and they devoured it...along with some other perennials and my two other rose bushes in the front Bought these even though they were more money than I would have liked by figured I spend way more on one plant at times and tried them Instant relief My plants budded again and bloomed without any disturbance Success Until a later blooming plant was getting ready to bloom and the deer returned and nibbled to shreds ....that plant was not protected ...BUT all of my other plants that I had added the net and (let's face it it's a small bar of soap IMO) to a random stem (some of which were now sagging at ground level) were safe and sound That proves this works Not all of my plants are tasty treats but I have learned which ones are this summer and will make sure they have this protectant every year as they REALLY work

I have purchased the deer repellent pouches several times. I do believe they work. I have never been happy with the price, but upside is they are cheaper than the deer stopper spray and they don't clog my sprayer. This time I purchased both deer and rabbit and was very upset to find the deer was in a new WHITE pouch and not the dark green as pictured and as I've received before. The rabbit WAS in the green mesh pouches. These white ones look horrible. They are huge...way bigger than necessary to hold the repellent and you can see them a mile away in the trees. Not happy! I will be contacting the company but wanted to warn others that you may not receive what is pictured.

We have three yards surrounding our home. I dangled these from the deck and they’ve been effective there (it seems). But, the further you get away from the house, they haven’t been effective. Not sure if the deer stay away because the foliage is further from the house vs product effectiveness. I will not be purchasing more.

Amazing product. I am correcting my original review of one star. After my review and being contacted by the representative of the Deer Guard rpellant company, I moved my sticks each with a pouch attatched, just 3 feet apart , creating a barrior as described by the company representative. Originally, the deer had eaten all my day lilies and roses near the hanging pouches. But after I moved the sticks to 3 feet apart creating the barrier, the deer have not eaten any of my remaining blooming flowers including my newly blooming gladiolas I used to go out every evening and spay all my plants with a deer off product and if I forgot or it rained the deer ate everything. Now I can leave the pouches and save money on many gallons of spray per summer.

This is better than what I got last year for my garden. This new type stinks to hi heaven. It's gotta repel deer. I can hardly stand it myself. I think it's the best product out there for this use. I just hang it on those tromp down electric fence posts all around.

I had high hopes for this product as we have a huge deer problem where we live. We were so tired of spraying everything only to have to respray after it rained. I hung the generously hung the sachets on two ornamental maples in our yard and had high hopes as these smell really bad. Well, within 3 days the deer had stripped one side of one tree and one quarter of another. We ended up fencing in the trees. I put the rest in our fern garden and just like the maples, the deer were not deterred. I’m not sure what actually works, but this definitely didn’t.
