The Golden Sayings of Epictetus: in Contemporary English with Explanatory Notes

I read The Golden Sayings a few years ago for a book club out of the Harvard Classic. As I was reading through what I felt was an unnecessarily difficult translation, I kept thinking that I wished someone would write a translation that made sense. When I heard that someone had, I was thrilled. I bought it recently and have enjoyed it much more than the first time I read Epictetus. The Sayings are short, often witty, and always thought provoking. The book is not long, and because the sayings are broken up, it's easy to put down and pick it up again at leasure.
