I’ve been using the 3M Xtract Net Disc 310W (180 grit) on both wood and metal projects, and I have to say—this is hands down one of the best sanding disc lines I’ve used, especially for the price.Right out of the box, I noticed how well-designed the net structure is for dust extraction. Paired with a decent vacuum setup, it leaves virtually no mess behind. It makes a huge difference when you’re working in a small shop or garage where cleanup is a pain. The discs don’t clog up easily either, which means you get a lot more life out of each one.The hook and loop system is strong and doesn’t wear out quickly, so swapping discs is easy and they stay securely attached throughout the job. I’ve used them for both stock removal and fine finishing, and the 180+ grit hits a perfect sweet spot—aggressive enough to knock down rough spots but still smooth enough to prep for finishing.What surprised me most was the value—for a pack of 50, the performance feels closer to premium-level abrasives. I have been using the more expensive Mirka Abranet for several years but gave this brand a try due to the less expensive price. I have been very surprised by the great finish I’m getting with these 3M discs, and they’re almost as durable as the Mirka Abranet. I think I’ll be buying these from now on.

Been a wood working pro since 1992This screen last a very long time, will not load, and evacs the dust fantastic with a vacume. The loop backing holds great and last.

Love these sanding discs. More expensive than traditional sandpaper. But because of the design, you don’t have to fuss with lining up dust extraction holes and more dust is extracted through the sander. Also the disc doesn’t seem to get as filled with sawdust residue as with traditional sandpaper.

Boy, what a difference this sandpaper makes. I thought I would to upgrade my sander for a better finish but this stuff lets me keep using my $40 Craftsman and get a beautifully smooth finish. Maybe one day I’ll still get the Festool, but for today the 3M gives the Craftsman a new lease on life.

I use a ton of sand paper on a variety of home projects .I almost always go wth the cheap box of round paper and it is fine.I recently purchased a new electric or it's sander and decided to use this on brand new oak doors that needed sanding prior to sealing. Also needed to get poly off some that were done poorly. All I can say is this is 10x better vs traditional paper, doesn't leave a ton of dust and is faster and more efficient as well. I will never use any other type of paper. The 200 piece box for $10 is less cost effective vs this. On the low grit you really noticed huge difference. It's so much more flexible and a game changer.
