Wonder Woman 2
B**T
Great comic, terrible packaging.
Shipping: The box it came in was too tight, the comic ended up getting bent on one corner. The pages them selves don't look to damaged but the creases are very noticeable on the cover. I'm keeping the book but do better, its unacceptable.Comic: Greg Rucka's run on Wonder Woman is one of my favorites in comics. In total there are 3 volumes collecting the run, not including his time with the Rebirth title years later.• Story: I think its an interesting story for Wonder Woman, all eyes are on her as she's trying to balance being both a warrior and a diplomat. Without getting too deep into spoilers, the chess game and deception amongst the Greek gods is fascinating. I think this interpretation and character designs for them are really interesting. There's this steady escalation in stakes that is handled really well.• Art: I have heard some complaints about the pencils and colors used during this run, personally I don't agree with them. I love the artwork. Although the art may change up once in a while I thought it felt cohesive throughout. Ultimately I think we can all agree on how fantastic the inks are. The covers provided J.G. Jones are phenomenal and add this legendary touch to an already great comic book.• Recommendation: All in all this is a great book that everyone should pick up. Some people would argue to stop with this volume. Personally I think you should pick up volume 3, its a definitive ending to the run that encapsulates who Wonder Woman is at her core before reaching the events of Infinite Crisis. As a plus that 3rd volume also collects a couple of issues Greg Rucka wrote for the character in an unrelated story down the road. My understanding is these collections of Rucka's run might be out of print soon and that's a damn shame. I really hope DC will be convinced that there's an audience out there that are still willing to read this fantastic period in Wonder Woman's history.

More of what made part 1 awesome. Rucka epic escalates.
First off you should never buy part 2 as a standalone and it should always be read with part 1.All the threads setup in part 1 follow through here. Many of the climaxes were hugely satisfying. Rucka writes a very spot on Wonder Woman and shows exactly why she is in a class of her own.I don't have much more to say except get this and part 1 right now. Fans of the movie will love this. Heck if you are a fan of comic books in general you'd probably love it too.But do take note, somehow in vol.3 DC decides to tie in the last leg of the story into Infinite Crisis and Blackest night. So if you don't plan to read those events, I wouldn't recommend part 3. So if you are a completist like me and getting 1 and 2 without completing the series bugs you. Maybe rent and enjoy the story rather than buy instead.

Tremendous Second Volume Pits Diana against Medusa and the Forces of Hades
Greg Rucka's famous run on Wonder Woman is continued with this second volume reprint of classic arcs "Eyes of the Gorgon" and "Land of the Dead." Continuing from the terrific first volume's collected work, this two part story sees the return of the mythical Medousa whose gaze will turn her victims to stone. After having been resurrected by the witch Circe, Medousa decides to pick a fight with Wonder Woman as she is the champion of Athena (the god who transformed Medousa into a beast in old myth). After a devastating attack on the staff of the Themysciran Embassy, Diana accepts a formal duel with the Gorgon and battles her to the death. In the sequel arc "Land of the Dead" Diana is once again caught up in the machinations of her patron gods. After Hera nearly destroyed Themyscira during the first volume, Athena gathers the female goddesses together to challenge the rule of Zeus pitting his mighty champion against her own. All the while, Ares continues to manipulate Diana and the Amazons while playing both sides against each other. This is a great run and a wonderful read. Rucka's run doesn't end here as he has another volume's worth of work after "Land of the Dead" though that arc ("Mission's End") is mostly a direct tie-in to Infinite Crisis. While the third volume's worth of comics haven't been reprinted yet, you can find the entire "Mission's End" arc in a previous volume's printing on Amazon.

Trials and tribulations have nothing on this
A continuation of Greg Rucka's run on Wonder Woman leads to a serious amount of people coming for Diana. Between Cheetah and Zoom to the ancient Greek Gods of myth, your girl has a ton of villains and creeps to contend with. Hang on because this volume has it all. With a nice little bow to wrap up the ending. Can't wait to see what volume 3 of Rucka's run brings.

Another wonderful run on Wonder Woman here.
I did not like it as much as Greg Rucka's first collected volume, but there are still very good stories in this book. I can't explain the plot very much without spoiling it, but the story is interesting and has some nice twists. If you like the first Rucka volume, you will really enjoy how it continues here.

and I love it. Greg Rucka is one of the writers ...
This book features one of the first Wonder Woman story arcs I ever read, and I love it. Greg Rucka is one of the writers (along with Gail Simone & George Perez) that knows how to stay true to the essence of Wonder Woman (Diana's character) while also placing her into interesting narratives.

Great stories included in this volume
Great stories included in this volume, especially the Stoned storyline, which is one of the best Wonder Woman storylines in her long history! Greg Rucka is a great writer and I hope he comes back to WW again soon!

Amazing!
Melhor ainda que o primeiro volume, contendo uma história forte e emocionante. A ilustração/arte está linda, assim como no primeiro volume. Recomendo a todos que gostam da Mulher Maravilha e do autor Greg Rucka.

Wow! THIS is a Wonder Woman story.
In the second instalment of the collected run from Greg Rucka we seem to have a real contender for best story of the series. I'd argue it carries more punch than The Hiketeia and you really feel you are in a Wonder Woman story throughout, loads of heart, loads of love and a real sense of power throughout. Loved it! I cannot wait to re-read the finale of Rucka's run in Vol. 3!!
