Works like a charm, just have a hole puncher, makes it much easier

I PURCHASED THIS GROMMET TOOL TO MAKE SMALL COASTERS. HOWEVER, THE TOOL DOES NOT "CRUSH" ALL OF THE EDGES ON THE EYELET. THIS SET DID NOT COME W/THE WASHER, BUT I WOULD PROBABLY RECOMMEND GETTING A SET W/WASHERS TO PREVENT THIS. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS HAPPENED. I ORIGINALLY WAS GOING TO RETURN IT, BUT I GUESS I WILL GO GET THE WASHERS TO SEE IF THAT WILL WORK FIRST. OTHER THAN THAT, THIS WAS A GREAT VALUE AND INCLUDED LOTS OF EYELETS,,SILVER AND GOLD.

This item did not set the eyelet. One half did not crimp. Every time I tried it it crimped one side and not the other. It is machined wrong. Defective.

While it’s easy to use in a pinch, the force of the press isn’t evenly distributed causing the grommet to not spread/ flatten out on the outside edge. The only fix I’ve found is to lightly crimp the first time then rotate the loose grommet 180 degrees before fully pressing it down.
