My 3-year-old grandson loved this story!
My 20-year-old son told me he had listened to Danny's podcast including this story over 20 times because it impacted him so much--so I bought it for Christmas for my 3-year-old grandson. But when I received the book I thought that I would put it away for a few years since the context of having a bad day at school seemed over my grandson's head. However, when I was called to watch him for three days while his parents were on a trip I threw it in my bag along with other books and a couple of DVDs. During those three days we played MANY games, read MANY books, went to the library, went for a walk, did many special things. My grandson insisted that I read this book to him. At the end I told him, "Eli, Grandma is very proud of you." I could tell that it went straight to his heart as he quietly replied, "Thank you." He asked me to read it the next day. Several days later after I had gone home his mother asked him what was his favorite memory of that current day. He told her, "Grandma took me to the library," and "Grandma say, I am very proud of you." That powerful message went straight to his spirit!

OMGosh!
LOVED this little story. I read it over and over, and shared it with my four children and other adults. Needless to say, it brought moms and dads to tears at the thought that they wished they would have heard their parents say "I am so proud of you!" It brought all of us to a realization that we are to prize our children for the wonderful beings that they have been created to be, and to not attribute the rough spots in our days as character flaws. It gives us hope and courage to do even better when we hear "I am proud of you". Thank you Danny and Sheri. Love you!!

Such an Encouragement!
We read Danny's book, Loving Our Kids on Purpose, last year. It forever changed our perspective on parenting. One of Those Days is written for children, and it helps them understand that their value is not in performance or behavior, but rather in their identity as sons and daughters. I love conveying this to my children through a fun, but well-written book. My son is six and really enjoys reading it with my husband and me. We now read it at least two nights a week before bed. Well done, Danny - keep them coming!

Great message and a fun book.
This book is a great way to teach kids that they are loved even when they have a bad day. The illustrations are great and the message is even better.

Fabulous!
I love this book. It illustrates clearly and plainly Danny Silk's teaching on staying connected. Makes it easy for adults to understand as they read to their children. Excellent!

... lifter of our heads when life looks and feels like disappointment. This book is a call and reaction ...
Danny Silk you are a lifter of our heads when life looks and feels like disappointment. This book is a call and reaction to seeing ourselves for who we really are in Christ and not as failures!

Very nice book
Good book showing childs value doesnt change on a bad day, no reason to feel worthless when things go wrong. Yet, the pictures are funny, book is easy to read, my kids come back to it quite often.
