CR2025 Tabbed Replacement Save Battery for Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Crystal and others

Bought to make a repair. Worked well!

Fit my Pokemom Crystal cart perfectly. Never soldered before, but it was easy. I did get the polarity wrong at first, the battery had to go the opposite way of how it seemed it would. Just pay attention to what side of the battery connects where on the board.

It was a little bigger than I needed for my original GameBoy cartridge of the legend of Zelda but I was able to bend the tabs and make it work

Don't let a few other reviews on here lead you astray, if you have an old pokemon game that requires a CR2025, this is definitely the way to replace it. Even if the tabs appear to be upside down at first, as mine did, if you look closer, they are attached correctly, however your battery may be facing the opposite way than it was (which will not affect the contacts). I soldered this in in a few minutes, and now I have another decade of Pokemon Gold saves!

Bought this for my Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal Game Boy games.With basic soldering skills the process to replace the batteries was straight forward.If you've never soldered before, I strongly recommend educating yourself with some youtube videos and being very careful at first.Also, I'd suggest buying a small width grade of solder as the normal size grade is usually too big. Lastly, some soldering wick is super helpful to making a clean finish and avoid connecting things that should not be connected.

I picked up a copy of Pokèmon Sapphire at a flea market and bought it knowing that the battery was dead. It wasn't really necessary but, I wanted a fully working game.This battery is a little larger than the original applied to the board so, the face of the cart fit back on a little snugly and the tabs welded onto it are smaller than the originals' so you may need to bend them a little so that they can meet the solder points.With a little solder work (very little) and the proper tools, you'll have your berries growing in no time.

I ordered these in order to fix my Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal cartridge’s inability to still save my game. After following a soldering tutorial of how to install these batteries on YouTube, all three games were able to save.

I ordered a pair of these tabbed CR2025 batteries to replace the batteries in my Boogie Boards. A lot of the instructions on the Internet say to use CR2032, but they are actually CR2025 and wanted to use the correct type. (Especially since they were more available and cheaper.) When I got the batteries, they were shipped in zip top bags that were labeled CR2025, but the batteries were actually CR2032. I can make use of these and will do so. But, you should make sure of what you order and get because you might get CR2032's instead - and if you have tight space requirements, the 2032s might not work.
