Perfect size and great quality
After receiving Dash waffle iron as a gift I started waffling everything. Eggs, hash browns, left over mashed potatoes, pizza, hamburger. It has become a running joke now to say "ya I can waffle that" or #WaffleLife. The last two in the list of my waffle adventures made me think having a flat plate version would be good (they got stuck more than things I tried). I was so happy to find one just like my waffle iron made by the same company! It has worked great! We made calzones in it, grilled cheese, eggs of course. It's been a great addition. One of the greatest things about these is their small and fast to use in the kids are able to manage them without much help. Better than pulling out a pan and turning on the gas stove for peace of mind. Definitely have to be right there with them on that. A for sure no regrets purchase. Also I've noticed it cooks really even which is not something I could say about every waffle iron I've used.

Little but Mighty
Although...i don't know if there are risk factors in the coating of this little grill...but, I Love this!!! if you live by yourself ..get this...you can make a grilled cheese in a couple of min...it is so cute and works well..little but mighty..no off/on switch but i don't care..plug it in...for about a minute..soon as it heats..i put an egg on it...cooks the egg fast...if you like eggs that aren't runny.you can lift the egg off the grill even without a spatula...it's a hoot

Easy to use
This is very small, but perfect for one person. I've used it for burger patties that I size myself, not pre-shaped so that it will fit. Also, for small breakfast patties, grilled cheese with firm bread, cut to size, or English muffin. Also good for panini style sandwich with small thin chicken cutlet, and firm bread cut to size. Can't get a lot of ingredients on there, but otherwise handy to use. The recipe included for grilled pineapple with cinnamon and nutmeg is very good. I've also found it easy to clean.

Heats up fast and cooks fast
Convenient for vanlife. Cooks fast! A frozen patty barely fits but manageable. I use it for fried egg, salmon patties. Wish there's was a solution to the grease coming out of the sides but a simple plate solves that. Easy to clean except for the puter edges. A good product for home, not so much van living because of the mess and cleanup

Cute, but...
While the Mini Maker is completely adorable, it lacks in a couple of crucial areas. The hinges don't articulate and the heating plates are not deep enough to accommodate a regular English Muffin, much less both sides of the muffin, an egg, a piece of ham and a slice of cheese. In order to warm the already cooked ingredients, I had to smash them into the maker and hold down the top so that most of the sandwich was touching the plates. It took longer than expected to get everything warm, but with considerable fussing and turning, I was able to make it work. Secondly, it's not as easy as you think to clean. Melted cheese and bits of egg oozed out into the hinges and between the plates and plastic housing. The plates were easy to wipe off with a damp paper towel, however I needed a toothpick to clean the rest of it. Not exactly what I expected, but it was inexpensive. I'll keep it and try thinner bread and fewer ingredients.NOTE: By looking at the photos in the listing, you'd think this was the next best kitchen appliance ever, but they never show the mini maker shut with ingredients in it. I can't imagine cooking a hamburger patty in it. The mess would be incredible! I tried to attach a photo showing my breakfast muffin, but it won't load up to this review. If you purchase this item, you might find it works better for you. Good luck.

Great for tiny kitchens :)
I love these tiny Dash appliances! Let’s people with tiny kitchens have gadgets to play with. The grill marks come out pretty on burgers & paninis. The small cooking surface encourages portion control. Glad I found this grill :)

Not an actual useful cooking device
Nothing in the photos gave me an accurate idea of how extremely tiny this is. It’s super cute, but basically a novelty item. I’m a little unclear about how they could possibly have cooked the panini style sandwiches they show, or even the fillings, not even one at a time. I think you could heat an English muffin but you would have to split it and do 1 half at a time. I eat very small loaved lbread (those tiny sprouted flourless breads loaves) and a slice is way too big. I’m attaching pics - keep in mind this bread is small (a sandwich rattles around a standard sandwich container in a lunch). The cooking surface is 4” across, the depth is less than 3/8” on each surface but keep in mind the raised grill texture makes it that much less. The hinge is obviously not a floating hinge, it’s fixed and when empty and closed the two sides shut firmly so to get an even press the item you put in would have to be less than 4” across, less than 1/2” thick and not juicy or messy unless you put the press on a tray or towel to catch the runoff. Totally adorable though. Maybe when it grows up it will be a real grill press.
