This is not brass. A magnet sticks to one of the wires after it was cut off the base. Looking with a 10x loupe, it is clear that it is brass plated steel. If you want a pretty wire brush, maybe it is OK but if you want brass because, well, you want a brass brush, I don't know where to tell you to get it.
