The Versa offers the flexibility to cook with wood, charcoal, or solid biomass fuel in a rugged and durable design. The versatility of the stove makes it your perfect outdoor cooking stove for almost any need. The Versa provides the same efficiency and heat output as the Dura when cooking with wood, while also offering the alternative of a more controlled cooking experience with charcoal. The Versa is the most popular model in the United States and makes for a great camping, patio, or emergency preparedness cooking solution. A fully insulated vertical combustion chamber forces gases to mix with flames when in use, decreasing harmful emissions while boasting tremendous fuel efficiency. The combustion chamber and top door insulation is lined with a refractory metal to provide ultimate durability. Both the main combustion chamber door and the damper door (bottom door) have reinforced metal frames with hinges that serve to securely close the doors and regulate airflow. Lastly, the Versa features EcoZoom's newly designed three-prong stove top and stainless steel handles. The flattened prongs decrease the chance of chipping the cast iron top while still offering the ability to cook with a flat or rounded bottom pot/pan. The rigid stainless steel handles are covered with silicone grips to ensure they stay cool even when the stove is hot.

Great stove!
I got this stove for home use-both for cooking with a wok outside with a flame (I only have an electric stove) and for power outages.I love it!I used only three 8 inch long pieces of 1x1 wood to cook a meal (with some small twigs as tinder). I found using a piece of firestarter wrapped in a small piece of paper is the easiest way to get it going fast-but it isn't necessary. The damper door at the bottom which is used for controlling the amount of flame works perfectly-I can have a high flame, or simmer a pot (tried both). The round piece of metal that comes with the stove helps heat a pot or kettle quickly.I have the ceramic fiber stove-lighter than the ceramic one, but still heavy enough to use a cast iron dutch oven on.It produces very little smoke so I can use it under the carport in bad weather.I'm very happy with this stove.

Great little stove in Alaska
Great little stove in Alaska. My two sons love it. Ages 12 and 8. IMHO, it’s a safe way to teach children fire starting and fire management. The bonus is how to cook on an open flame. Well made.

built well, though not the highest quality
Bought this to use for outdoor and emergency cooking; I recently learned about rocket stoves and was so obsessed with them for a time that I made my own, but I wanted something more durable and versatile. This accomplished both. Very happy with the Versa, though I noticed some minor flaws in the construction; the top door doesn't line up quite right when you shut and latch it (maybe 1/4" gap), and the clay lining in the lower chamber was cracked in the back upon arrival.Apart from that, it does what EcoZoom said it would - burns efficiently, with minimal smoke. Have yet to try charcoal.
