Good unit so far. Easy install. Directions take some interpretation. No instructions as to how to set the odometer to the milage of the replaced unit. Have not been able to figure that out. Response from the seller was to “take it to a professional”. Come on!

I finally have everything working. tach and speed. Read through if you are having issues.The gauge is astetically pleasing and now I can monitor charging voltage. I have a 2003 525 EXC. The display does distort at higher RPM's but I'm not really looking at it at WOT anyway. It was not a plug and play install for me and I wanted to use my factory 2 wire speed sensor because it is already mounted and my bike came with 2 spares.The tach did not work when wired to the low voltage (12v) side of the spark plug coil. I tried wrapping wire around the spark plug as well to no avail. I then spliced it to the positive (red wire) side of the pickup coil that senses engine TDC and the tach began working. Make sure you set it to 2 cylinder because it will pick up 2 pulses per power stroke.Second was the speed sensor. The 2 wire speed sensor needs to be connected to ground, not the power side of the sensor circuit. So connect 1 wire to the green and the other to the sense wire and set the pulses correctly. Everything else was plug and play with no issues. The gauge has an internal diode pack for the turn signals so no need to isolate them externally. So far, it's an awesome little gauge and does everything I need it to.

After installation it works well, had to play with the sensor awhile in order to get it to read the speed. Install however was a bit difficult because the schematic I received was wrong, and I had to play around with the wires In order for it to work.It’s bright, all the lights work, it is pretty small but it does the job it’s intended to do.
