I have been taking this product for years as a supplement for my heart health. Seems to be a good product.

I purchased Nature's Bounty Garlic Extract 2000 mg through Amazon. Nature's Bounty Garlic Extract comes in 1000 mg and 2000 mg. I usually use Nature's Bounty Garlic Extract (1000 mg) coupled with about 1/2 of a zinc tablet when I start showing signs of sinus problems. Usually, the 1000 mg will keep my allergies from advancing into a cold. When I am really having problems (ear infections, sore throat, etc.) I turn to Nature's Bounty Garlic 2000 mg. to help me work through the common cold. I normally have a weak immune system. The combination of Nature's Bounty and zinc tablets usually keeps me out of the doctor's office and saves me money spent in doctors bills. My alternate backup if I feel that I need something else us usually periodically adding colloidal silver (used sparingly because of potential side effects of long use). One caveat about using garlic capsules. Used too much may lead to heartburn or acid reflux problems. I usually keep something like Tums for stomach protection before I take too much of it.. I found a new use of Nature's Bounty Garlic Extract 2000 mg. I had vein problems and went to a vein surgeon's office. The person doing the vein procedures (not the surgeon) left a type of clot in my leg. When I finally found out about it, I was told to elevate my legs, use a heating pad, and use compression hose --all which I did (sleeping with the heating pad 5-6 hours nightly). Still no relief from the leg cramps in my right calf. I read online that garlic is a natural blood thinner. I have Nature's Bounty Garlic Extract in both 1000 and 2000 mg on hand. I started taking the 2000 mg version. This was the only product that helped me relieve the pain from the clot. One caveat, make sure you take garlic extract with a meal or with something like Tums. It causes heart burn, acid reflux, indigestion, or even stomach ulcers unless you are careful when you take it.

I have used garlic for a number of years not only for cardiovascular health but I have found that garlic is effective at helping keep a cold at bay and for fighting off a cold once I get it. So, garlic has been part of my regular cold fighter routine. I have tried different brands of garlic pills, including tablets (coated and uncoated) and the gel cap versions of garlic. I personally think that the coated tablets are more effective than the gel cap and uncoated versions. I am also not so sure that the gel cap versions contain as much garlic as they indicate either. I like the taste of garlic so regular garlic pills (coated/uncoated) don’t bother me so much. There is the occasional aftertaste from tablets but I have not had that issue with these coated tablets. Of course, these do have the strong odor of garlic so if you don’t like the smell of garlic or get the aftertaste, then you might want to get the gel cap version instead of these coated tablets. I haven’t had that issue with these, but I am not really susceptible to indigestion from garlic. These tablets are smaller (about the size of an Advil or Tylenol tablet) and more compact than previous brands of odorless garlic that I have used but a bit larger than the gel cap type. These are decently priced for a two pack (approximately 11 bucks). This brand is made in the USA. Both bottles were properly sealed and have an expiration date of February 2020. 4 stars
