Great value bag, if you fit in it
I own 3 of these, 2 of the regular size and 1 of the "scout" size (Teton actually calls these "short", and they're not even listed on their website). I'm specifically reviewing the scout version. It's noticeably smaller and lighter than the regular version. The stuff sack is a bit thicker and more rugged/tougher than the bigger version, but I purchased the 2 bigger sized bags a year or so ago so it's possible that's what they're using for all the bags now.The box says it's 6'3" long. I'm 5'9", 150 pounds and fit in it really well. Note that when I say that, it's a mummy bag, and a short version at that. It is NOT roomy. It is not wide. It's a backpacking mummy bag, so don't get it to be comfortable. It goes a couple inches past my head if my feet are all the way pushed down into the foot box. Again, I'm 5'9" 150 and I'm pushing the limits for the scout version.I use these bags for backpacking, and sleep with them in a hammock and slept in 50 degrees no underquilt and into the 40s with an underquilt and have been fine.At under 2.5 pounds, under $50, for a +20 bag, you would be very hard pressed to find a better value if you fit in it.

Compresses well if you have a compression sack
Very comfortable and super light weight. I was a little skeptical that I would stay warm at night because it seemed a little thin, but I ended up unzipping about 18" of the bag at night. The inside material is beautifully comfortable to the skin.It comes in a stuff sack, and is a decent size on it's own.I bought a Small sized Nelson-Rigg Compression sack, and I recommend that as well for this bag. It gets this back down to the size of a cantaloupe.

If money is no object, you can find better. If you are backpacking on a budget, you can't find much better than this.
I purchased 2 of these for my daughter and I to take on a 4 day backpacking trip through Rocky Mountain National Park. Spent 3 nights on the trail where the temps dropped to the low 40s. Granted, the temps were well above the survivability rating for the bags, but I could easily see pushing lower temps when dressed property. They packed up nicely and were noticeably light weight. They are not the warmest or lightest on the market, but for the budget backpacker, they were exactly what I was looking for.

I will say that I was using a good sleeping mat and a two man Kelty tent I ...
So I just got home from a hiking trip with my Boy Scout Crew that I’m trying for Philmont. I chose this bag because the coldest it should get on our trek is upper 30s to low 40s. This weekend, it was a different story. I knew the low was supposed to get down in the 20s but I wanted to really see how this bag worked. Turns out, it was 15 degrees F when I woke up at 0630. I will say the bag is not designed to give you a toasty sleep at 20 degrees but it is the survival rating. I will say that I was using a good sleeping mat and a two man Kelty tent I shared with my son. I also was wearing a wool beanie and long handles. I went to bed and was very comfortable. I woke up a couple of times and my feet were cold but not bad. The wind picked up and was blowing on my side and I could tell my shoulder was a little cool but not to the point were I couldn’t sleep.I carried this bag in the Teton sport 4000 and it fit perfectly in the sleeping bag compartment with the inflatable mat. This bag is not designed to be used below 20 degrees or really below mid 30s but it out preformed my expectations by far. I’m very happy with this purchase.Only negative is that I have broad shoulders 5’10”, 210, and the bag didn’t have a lot of room but it’s a mummy bag so that’s to be expected.

Awesome buy for this price
Awesome bag in the offered price.I ordered bag 3 days before my bagpacking trip and didn’t have time to exchange for big version So I just returned it.—I’m 5’8.5” inches high. So I thought i could fit in a scout version which is 75”. But it was too tight as you can see in pictures.—-I couldn’t test it in outside weather. But it was really warm. seemed warm enough to take care of 40 degrees weather.—-Its light weight as advertised.—You can guess the hight of the packed sack from picture as I placed a water bottle along with it.—Felt a bit tough to me to put back in the sack. But maybe I’m not good at folding.— has a nice full zipper at right side as you can see in a picture—All in all a good bag if you can carry a 3-4 pound of extra stuff in your hiking pack. If you want lighter for same weather, Be prepared to shed a lot more money.—I’m 5’8” 160pound with broad shoulders. Check the photos how scout version fits me.

Good for -7 C Perfect spring/summer/fall bag
Has the mummy hood I wanted, is 7'3" long, has a little storage pouch inside, anti snag zipper, which is super convenient at any time.Has very supple material, and rolls up into a nice smallish pouch that fits at the outside bottom of your backpack. I put a tablespoon on it to give perspective, or scale. A fine sleeping bag prices perfectly.

Good performance, excellent value for a synthetic bag
I originally purchased this for a late spring backpacking trip in Prince Albert National Park, where temperatures fell to low single digits Celsius overnight. The bag is of a reasonable size and weight (in line with the published specs) and isn't an undue burden - not comparable to a down bag, of course, but entirely manageable and quite good for a synthetic bag, never mind one of this price. The inside material is also nice - it's soft and brushed, a much nicer feel than the slick unbrushed nylon of some sleeping bags. At 5'10" and ~165lb (178cm/78kg), I found the size pretty appropriate - plenty of room for my feet and enough room to toss and turn a little, though the hood seemed a touch fiddly to get arrange right. I imagine I could easily be a couple inches taller and a dozen or two pounds heavier without major issues. Zippers, drawstrings, etc all seem to work well and feel robust and reliable, though perhaps not luxuriously smooth in their operation.Performance wise, I was wearing long johns, a light fleece top, wool socks, and a fleece toque on top of an R3.4 pad and was comfortable but not excessively warm down to about 3-4C (as a guy who is a pretty average sleeper, temperature wise). I think going below freezing would require either a warmer base layer to sleep in or a sleeping bag liner, which is on par for a -7C survival rating. Another alternative would be the LEEF 20F - there's no clear spec sheet difference, but per Teton's customer support the LEEF has both more and higher quality insulation (and a thinner fabric, so a larger portion of the mass is insulation), and would be more comfortable in slightly colder temperatures.Ultimately, this bag is the sort of product I've come to expect from Teton Sports - solid (but not cutting edge) performance at an extremely competitive price, adding up to exceptional value without any bargain basement compromises.

Not for fall camping at all. Stay warm people
You would die at +20f in this bag. I went out October camping in Saskatchewan and would have froze to death had I not had my Filson wool blankets. This is a good bag for summer months but it’s definitely not up to the +20 it’s rated at. Not even close. I would not use this bag for anything less than 15 degrees celcius / 59 ferenheight. I’ll keep it for summer camping as it’s a great value for that but when it gets cooler in the fall this bag is not coming out.

Not the best ..
I camped on Dartmoor at -3 and was very cold. This bag is more suited to about 0 degrees I would think.

Best Purchase Ever!
Absolutely amazing sleeping bag. I spent around 5 months looking for the perfect sleeping bag that balanced price, temperature, weight, and pack size. This was the one I chose, and I’m so happy that I did. I’m 5’ 3” and over 200 pounds, so I’m hardly a delicate flower. I was a bit worried about how tight the bag would be, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how roomy it was. I have plenty of room to move inside for a mummy bag. The bag at first felt a little thin to the touch, but I guess I’m just used to old sleeping bags because it’s ridiculously warm for it’s thickness. I also really love the padded hood and draw string. I was looking at far more expensive ones at Cabelas and they weren’t half as nice as the one I got. I’d buy it again in an instant. The zippered pocket for your cell or camera is a nice touch too.Update: having used it between 10-15 Celsius, I was surprised to find that I woke up cold at one point. Granted, I’m a VERY cold sleeper, but still. I still 100% love the bag and will use it for summer as it clearly won’t be too warm for me in the 20’s, but if you are a cold sleeper, it may be something to think about.
