Great for Flattening Cutting Boards
I cannot find anything bad to say about this bit. I use it in my Bosch router with a jig to flatten end grain cutting boards that I make. It works like a champ! After about a dozen boards, I can't detect and difference between the first board and the most recent. While a bit pricey, you get what you pay for and this well worth it.

Very smooth finish
I bought this to surface end grain on walnut, cherry and maple and it works very well leaving a very smooth finish and no tear out.

You get what you pay for. Quality!
The bit arrived quickly and was in good condition. The edges of the bit were all razor sharp and had plenty of that protective wax/rubber on it. I bought this bit exclusively for slab flattening and surfacing end grain cutting boards smooth with my router sled. Since this was the first one I’ve ever tried, I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but as with all of my Whiteside bits, I’m quite pleased with its performance. My router is a DeWalt DW-618 (2 1/4 HP) and it handled surfacing the stick with now issues at all. Taking passes and removing about 3/4” by about 1/8” deep per pass, this bit left the surface of an end grain hardwood cutting board perfectly flat and quite smooth, with no lines and minimal follow up sanding required. Whiteside bits have always performed well for me. They’re not inexpensive, but they’re not cheap either. You get what you pay for: a quality product. I would certainly recommend this product.

Works beautifully
You can buy surfacing bits for much, much more money. In my 2.3 hp hand-held router on a simple sled, this bit cut easily and smoothly to give a nicely flattened surface. I use the router sled in place of a jointer before sending boards through my benchtop planer This bit works perfectly for that application.

Awesome bit!
Received today and started using right away for flattening wood "cookies". I was worried my 2-1/4 horse router would not handle this bit. I was wrong. This bit is amazing. Cuts like a hot knife thru butter. There are cheaper bits out there that I have not tried but I still rate it a five for value based on its heavy duty build and four cutting carbides. I rate it five for longevity due to my experience with this brand and the thick carbides that will surely accept many shapenings. Worth every penny to me.

Unmatched performance and quality
Customer service is exceptional. I like Freud stuff but I think Whiteside is just on another level

Great Spoilboard Bit
Works great on spoil board. Used it to plane some hardwood and it dulled the carbide tips quickly. Still using on spoil board for now. Got another just in case.
