Don't Buy!
Do not buy it overcharged my battery and ruined it and all the wires. I am not happy it is supposed to stop charging when it reaches full charge. This charger cost me a lot of money!

Poor LED Indicator Design
Here is an e-mail I sent to MotoPower customer support regarding the LED indicator, and never received a reply. One star off for the poor user interface design of the indicator, and one star off for poor customer support. I also see in other reviews that people are complaining of the light always being green. One person even complained he was charging a depleted battery for 3 days (with the light green), and no charge was being delivered. He found that on his charger, the red clip was incorrectly stamped as negative, and the black clip stamped as positive. Here is my e-mail:Hello, I recently purchased the MOTOPOWER MP00205A 12V 800mA Battery Charger so that I can trickle charge my snowblower battery over the 7-8 months that it is not used. Set it up today and have a question:The battery was purchased early this winter, about 5 months ago, so it is relatively new. When I plug in the charger, the light turns green. When I then connect it to the battery, it stays green. I realize that means that it is fully charged, but how do you tell if the charger is installed properly? If I disconnect one or both of the terminal connectors, or even reverse the connectors, the indicator just stays green.I would have liked better feedback from the unit, i.e. the indicator would be off (or maybe yellow) until properly connected to the battery, at which point it would be green or pulsing green. If the clips were connected to the wrong terminals, I would have expected the indicator to be red.Seems like the fact that you are using a green indicator for 2 different purposes (power on, or fully charged) is a problem. I could have the clips on the wrong terminals, or even have the plug that goes from the charger to the clips not properly seated, and think everything is working fine because the green light is on.So how do I know the charger is working and is connected to the battery correctly? Thanks.

I purchased two of these - sending back - on ...
I purchased two of these - sending back - on the same battery I get two different readings from the indicator light. The graphic on the front is not how it works (or does not work in my case). I compared this with the B&D and FOVAL and this does not seem to charge fast nor does it top off the batteries (stops before 12V).

My 3 year old battery blew out while on this tender.
I had this tender on my 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Everything was fine, until it wasn't and I found battery acid all over the engine compartment of my classic car. The acid was also all over the ground and even managed to get on the inside of my car cover. I thought it was a coolant leak so naturally I removed the cover, not knowing the battery acid had blown out the front grill and the inside of my car cover.Guess what happens next? When I removed the car cover, it got on the hood of my car and literally burned my paint.Nope, wouldn't buy again. It's sad because I have gone through at least 4 Deltran battery tender Jr's. But hey, at least they don't overcharge the battery... they just stop working all together.

So far it’s been great, I use to keep my enclosed trailer battery ...
UPDATE 2: I was able to contact company through Amazon and report my issues with the dead charger. They did refund my money but I’m still out a $100 of my own pocket from the battery that it killed. Because of the refund I’m raising my review to 2-star. You’ll have to decide for yourself if it’s worth The risk.UPDATE 1: After just 2 months (outside my return period!) the charger is now completely dead. Won’t power on and worse - when it died it drained my battery completely - killing it. So a $15 charger that everyone just thinks “if it goes bad I’m only out $15” ended up killing a $100 deep cycle battery. Stay away from this one, you might think your saving money, but mine took along a $100 battery with it. I guess you really do get what you pay for.1st review:So far it’s been great, I use to keep my enclosed trailer battery topped off. It also completely disconnects itself when it looses power so it won’t back-drain the battery. But other reviewers have had problems with this so we will see how long it works, but so far I’m happy with my purchase.

Use daily
I use this on my 2018 KLX 250 when not in use. It's always on the bike if I"m not riding. No issues. The length it reaches is pretty good as well. Worth the price.
