A light weight single burner at a great price.Tends to auto shut off, I suppose good for safety, but frustratingwhen wanting to cook or heat several items in succession.I do appreciate how lightweight, how it is not super hot burner which is all I neededfor cooking eggs or flapjacks. The handles are a selling point as they do not get hotand is easy to hold and set aside when done.Another plus is how quickly it cools down when turned off. This way I could use itevenon day I was packing up and moving out of camp as I did not need to waitlong at all for it to cool down.

I use this one burner stove when I travel for work and have found it very useful. Its small and lightweight size makes it portable. It heats up quickly, there was a little bit of 'burnoff' smell the first use as other reviewers have found but it only occurred the first time. I have found that it will auto shut off after about 10-15mins even though I'm still using it; just have to manually turn it off then back on again (I wonder if this is a safety feature??).

I haven't used it for cooking, but if you are looking for a simple, 1000 watt hot plate for candle making, this is the one! This unit has no problem getting water to a rolling boil. Even on medium heat, I was able to get the water hot enough to melt wax. It does cycle the heat automatically for cooking, but that didn't effect the wax melting in the double boiler. I have used this burner up to three hours straight with no problems. I only make candles once every six months, so we will see how long it last. Its a great unit for the money. I would buy it again.

The product shuts off and on to regulate heat. So it takes a long time to cook anything. It took an hour and a half to cook 4 chicken thighs. Then the unit stopped working at all after a month of use.

My stove shuts off just as popcorn needs heat to finish popping. I just can't make decent popcorn on the stove. I bought this....problem solved. I'm having good popcorn again. The cord is quite short....almost too short.

Compact size, easy to clean, but takes 10 minutes to boil 1 cup of water. Still better than a flat surface hotplate but not as efficient as a stove. A heat indicator light would be helpful, too.

Heats up fast and does the job!

Great, however it takes quite a while to heat a tea-pot with about 32oz of water. Nothing wrong with the product, just a little under-powered based on my expectations.
