Running several months and so far I can say it's quiet and very very easy to clean and prime. Also very easy to add different types of media which you have to buy separately as they only come with the white cotton type. I also like the addition of the UV light although I can't say if it makes a difference yet. I like that the hoses have a shut off switch which also unlocks them. My old filter I had to unscrew each hose and they would leak water while they sat hanging from the tank. These don't spill a single drop when disconnecting. I find this filter is keeping my tank very clean for several weeks. More so than the last filter I had.
