One of the best out there!
It is really hard to find a good vegan jerky. This is so good, I have it on subscription. I use it as a snack but also cut it up to use in soups and salads and pastas and potatoes.

Delicious, Great Texture
These are exactly what I was looking for as an easy savory snack to take on hikes. They are much higher in protein than most of the other non-meat jerkies I was finding, and the taste and texture are fantastic. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years, so I can’t compare these to real meat… the main complaint in other comments seems to be that it doesn’t taste like meat; so as long as you are looking for a savory jerky-type snack, and not expecting a true meat substitute, you should be happy. These are savory, satisfyingly chewy, soft enough not to hurt my teeth, and even the flavors I expected not to like have been delicious. My only complaint is that they smell a bit like dog food, but if you don’t take a big whiff as soon as you open the package, the smell isn’t that strong. The taste, texture, and protein content more than make up for the odd smell. I’ll definitely be buying these again.

Vegetarians like jerky too!
Texture is slightly less like its real meat counterpart than some brands, but overall a solid choice for protein and on the go snacking!

Great for snacking
I wish these were a bit more affordable so I could keep them stocked! The texture is soft and slightly chewy, not tough or dry like your typical beef jerky, so if you're looking for a 1:1 replacement, this ain't it--but if you want a tasty plant-based hit of protein, I highly recommend them. They're very flavorful, not a bad one in the bunch in my opinion, but the seitan-based ones are my favorites for taste and texture. My only "beef" with these, aside from the cost, is how much trouble they can be to open. Makes for a perfect snack while at work; I also enjoy having them with breakfast.

Best we’ve found
All were good but two of the jerky sticks were molded. Make sure you check before you eat!

Great Vegan/Vegetarian Jerky!
I really am happy I tried this, the price is very reasonable compared to anything local (if you can even find it) or compared to buying smaller packs and some of the other brands. I haven't been able to find any vegan jerky locally at the coop anymore so I'll admit that it's been a while since I tried any other brand for direct comparison. This is better than I remembered the others being though.I'd recommend this for a first purchase to try the brand even if you think one of them sounds better than the others. You actually get a split of 6 flavors. Hickory Smoked must be new or something because at the time of this review, it's not shown in the product picture. Some flavors are probably going to appeal to you more than others and it's nice to give them a go before committing. In my case I like all of them though so I'll probably just keep getting the sampler pack to mix it up.Hot and Spicy is a little bit drier and more solid. The other five have more similar textures, they are a bit softer and stringier. The texture is good. You won't fool anyone who eats meat jerky but in my case I've been vegetarian for too long to really compare. This is a little oily on the outside, keep in mind that compared to regular jerky, it's slightly messier and you will need to rinse your hands afterward if you hold the thing directly without eating it out of the package. Not a complaint but just pointing this out if you're going to munch on these while sitting in your cubicle or something.I would put Mesquite Lime and Thai Peanut as my favorites but your mileage will vary. In my case, I like those ones since they seemed to have the "strongest" flavor and I'm not trying to critique whether it tastes like meat or not, just enjoying it for what it is.

These are not bad
My child does like most of the flavors, but not all. But I wanted to get the to know what flavors were like and what was not. And to be honest, for me, I am a meat eater, but I found this not so bad for plant based. So the ones my child does not like I eat. But I will find more in the flavors my child like instead of the variety pack. This pack is very pricey, but fall in line with all other plant based jerky if bought one by one, so it's not bad in the end.

Good product bad packaging
Very good product very tasty. I really love all of the flavors. However the packaging is difficult. I am not some 98 pound weakling and most of the time I can not get the product out of the package with a pair of scissors or a knife. There are tears/perforations in the packaging to allow the consumer to tear along those and remove the product but in at least 65 or 70% of the cases they are impossible to tear and or do not open the package fully.Great product bad packaging. A simple horizontal cut along the top with scissors or a knife and the product is easily removable without getting your fingers sticky. That is the other problem with the vertical perforations/tears on the rare occasion that one can use them to remove the product you are then left holding a sticky mess (with most of the flavors). The tear or perforations are in the wrong place and are just too difficult to use.If you wanted to take these with you on a 2 hour long walk/hike in or around the neighborhood or whatever you would need to bring a knife or scissors with you . . . which for those of us who always carry a pocket knife is not a big deal but for the rest it is very inconvenient.Having said all that when I have finished these 100% I will buy them again. I love the favor and the price point. Other veggie jerkey is anywhere between about 1.5 to 4 times the price. And those more expensive products are not significantly better (many are worse to be honest).Bottom line I would glad pay an extra $0.10 or so per bar for better packaging but the price and flavor of these are over all better than any other similar product.

Nice alternative to real jerky
I purchased these the first time last summer for a snack food to keep on hand in my lunch box for those days when I felt like having a special treat. I just recently made my second purchase of these. I enjoyed all the flavours except the mesquite lime. I couldn't even finish eating it (but we all have different tastes so someone else may like it). All the other flavours were great, even the BBQ one (which I'm not usually a fan of BBQ flavoured foods). I only wish they weren't so expensive since I'd buy them more frequently. At the current price I simply make these a special little treat to enjoy. They don't quite give off the same real jerky texture but they have their own unique texture and I find it satisfying which is great for non meat eating diets.

Good texture!
These ones are each made with differing ingredients. Make sure to keep your eye on whether it's wheat gluten, soy, or shiitake when you're deciding which ones you like best, because each has a different texture. The shiitake is softer, with less of a grain to it, but had a very nice flavour. There's not that much difference between the wheat and soy ones, though the soy was a little harder/chewier. Both the wheat and the soy split off into thin chewy ropes like one expects from jerky, and the flavours aren't too overpowering. They were all very good.I'm glad this came in a variety pack!

Some flavors better than others.
I really like the texture of these, personally. But I'm sure it won't be for everyone. The "Hot and Spicy" ones were a favorite for sure. They're a mushroom jerky and the texture and flavor were just on point. I'd buy those ones alone again and again.

What a treat!
I have not been able to find these in a long while so I was excited to see them on Amazon. They’re definitely not cheap, never have been. But since I don’t eat meat, it’s a great addition to a packed lunch as a meat substitute. The texture and flavour are right on. The only complaint I have is that the packaging is very, very difficult to tear. I think I’ll have to bring a pair of scissors instead.

AVOID; Not good at whatsoever
These were all disgusting. Not understating. Absolutely horrid. I have tried others and this brand was just bad. None of the so called flavours are not good. They taste nothing like the descriptions. Their aftertaste is chemical and unpleasant. The texture is that of a thick leather belt the turns into a gummy cud like substance that is hard to choke back. I actually threw them all in the garbage after giving them a second try. Me and my wife both felt the same. She reluctantly tried them a second time with me. Not that I’d get more but the only redeeming one was maybe the hot and spicy. Maybe. It was similar to a hot rod stick from the mid 90s. I’d say someone else may like them but I don’t know how they could.
