Excellent product for water activities with phone
I purchased this float strap shortly before my vacation to Greenland to paddleboard in an icefjord. It worked VERY well. My biggest concert was not just keeping my phone/camera water resistance but also keeping it buoyant should it accidentally fall in the water. I purchased the strap and connected it to my waterproof case. To be sure, I ran my tub full of water and dropped the waterproof case in with the float strap attached. The strap did its job keeping the phone case at the surface. The strap itself did submerge much of the way in the water with a portion floating above the surface due to saturation with water. But it did remain at the surface. So I purchased one more strap and wore two side by side for extra comfort, because that is just me. (This is why you see two straps in the attached photos. But product is sold as one strap) Not only does the strap ensure floatation, it also keeps the camera near the wrist for easy access to during activities like paddleboarding and kayaking as well as other activities in the water. Highly recommend!

positive buoyant float strap for olympus TG5
i purchased this for my TG5 and the strap works great for snorkeling. in 1 ft "waves" the strap is still visible on the ocean surface. i don't dive, so you are on your own there. the "quick-release" does look a bit flimsy at first but i learned that the male and female clasps are interchangeable with the "Nordic Flash Hand Strap [5-Pack] Lanyard". so when im taking my TG5 into water, i change out the wrist end to the JJC strap. when im on land, i change out to the thinner NF hand strap.

Works great and floats
Worked great on a trip in the Adriatic Sea. Having the floating band gave me confidence that I wasn't going to drop my phone to the bottom of the sea. Swam with it every day for 10 days and never had a problem.

Keeps my heavy olympus waterproof tg-4 camera afloat
I have an Olympus TG-4 waterproof camera that I absolutely love except for one glaring issue - it's very dense and heavy - not great it using it in waters too deep to recover a sunken camera (though it would no doubt survive the pressure). The strap that came with the camera is top notch and tough, but it's not hard to imagine losing the camera to carelessness or accident. Enter this JCC float strap. I do a lot of boating in murky water with depths that would make it very difficult to retrieve a sunken camera and wanted some piece of mind that if I or the kids were to lose it overboard or while swimming we wouldn't lose the camera and all the memories contained within. For this purpose the strap excels. It's bright, easy to see, and is buoyant enough to keep that brick of a camera afloat. I rest easy now when the kids or friends want to use it and I don't have to give the usual "put the strap on your wrist" warning. My only concern is the thinness of the line that connects to the camera. It is definitely tough and some hard test yanks didn't harm it a bit, but it's also pretty thin and I'm not sure how it would/will hold up to abrasions or contact with sharp edges or just sun and sea exposure over time. So far, half a summer and boating season in, and the strap still looks new, so my concern may be unfounded. Time will tell and I'll certainly update this review if I encounter an issue, but for now, I love the strap and it does exactly what it was advertised to do. I would recommend it to anyone looking to keep a camera or similar afloat!

Secure your underwater camera!
We bought this floating strap to keep from losing our waterproof camera on a recent vacation. It really did the job. It is comfortable to slip onto your wrist. Or you can attach it to a back pack or bathing suit. We comfortably allowed our 10 year old grandson to have full use of the waterproof camera with this on his arm. It easy disconnects from the camera with a snap closure.

Insufficiently buoyant for iPhone 12 pro
Does not have enough buoyancy to keep an iPhone 12 pro from sinking. After discovering this, I noticed that other vendors specify, in grams, what weight their product will keep from sinking. Three stars for no specification. I would have weighed my phone before making the purchase.

The quick disconnect is nice too. Some reviews of this product said that ...
I am using this on an Olympus TG-5 and it works perfectly! I weighed that camera at one point, and I think it was 9oz. Other float straps said that they could hold up to 7oz, so that was a main factor in getting this one. The quick disconnect is nice too. Some reviews of this product said that the black cinching strap on the wrist strap was not useful and made it too tight for an adult hand. I have been using this with that part unsnapped, and it is fine. I think the cinching strap would be useful if you wanted to make sure the yellow float was tight on your wrist. I also intend to use this with my kids, so I think the cinch strap would help it adjust to stay on their wrist. I imagine this being particularly useful in the ocean, but I have only tried it in a pool so far. The quality seems fine. I did search extensively for other float straps that had something thicker that the thin piece that attaches to the camera. I only found one alternative, but I did not like it. So far, I have no concerns with that part. Overall, this product seems very good.
