Important to put knives in blade protector/sheaths or they will cut thru material.
This thing is great. Just what I was after. I am just a home chef but I could see this being very valuable to a professional. My chef's knife is my most used tool in the kitchen. I usually keep is safe in a wooden magnetic sheath but it is not the kind of sheath you can wear. This works incredibly well in conjunction with that wooden sheath. The magnets keeping it secure but is still easy to draw. I just use a plastic blade protector from a 99-cent store cheapo for my good paring knife. Before I had to set aside a spot for my good knives in my work area. This helps free up that area and gives me access to my most used gizmos. I can just rinse off my knife, towel it dry and slip it back in the belt till the next chop. The material is strong but not as thick as something like a police duty belt. You will see some negative reviews regarding knives cutting through the material which is why it is important to use something extra. We all love to keep our blades sharp, no type of cordura should be a match for them. It also looks pretty cool. Maybe too cool. I feel like this is what Batman would wear while he is cooking. Let's be fair though, Batman doesn't cook, Batman has Alfred. It does give one a sense of purpose when you put it on. Its comfortable and easy to adjust. The pouch selection is pretty great. Buckle so far seems good but was difficult to thread it through the loop initially. As you can see in my pics this is my load-out: Tongs, Yaxell Ran 8" chefs knife with wood scabbard, Yaxell Mon paring knife, honing steel, meat thermometer, notepad, pen and of course a titanium folding spork for tasting as I go. The only thing I got specifically for it was the notepad and meat thermometer. I lucked out that all my old favorite gear fits perfectly. Hopefully the photos will help give people and idea if it fits their stuff too. You should be able to get the dimensions of my Yaxell knives here on Amazon.

Fantastic thing to have for work in a kitchen
People might laugh a little when they see you with a tool belt on your side but they usually want one after one day working next to me and im pulling knifes and utensils off ny hip, very convenient and as long as you have some good blade gaurds, it will be very durable, i strongly recomend

Great buy. Recommended for busy cooks/chefs
Would have been 5 stars, but for 2 small personal things. Its a great thing to have in a busy kitchen, im never looking for my knife, tongs, or thermometer. Its mostly comfortable, and if its worn loose enough, you can barely tell its there. My only issues are 1. The buckle could be more sturdy. If its under too much strain, it unclips. 2. The knife holster should be a more sturdy/thick material. A very sharp knife (which mine is) will cut and fray the material. I solved the issue by putting my knifes leather sheath into the pocket, so my knofe slides into that

Fits big waist line comfortably! Very durable holster, impossible to tear, dries fast. Easy clean up.
This belt fitted me nicely and I’m a big guy with a 40” inch waist. The belt could have easily been adjusted another 10” inches to a 50” inch if needed. Some of my cooks with smaller waists, 28” inch also found it to be very comfortable. This belt can easily be adjusted. I hesitated at first reading how the fabric got poked or cut but that’s only because knife guards weren’t used. I use knife guards on all my knives before inserting them into my holster and never made a scratch on my holster. I’m in catering so I’m never in one place and tend to remove my knives in and out frequently. I just use a simple knife guard with my knife then into my holster and I’m good to go. Even when I had my leather holster, I used my knife guards. Without them, damage to leather happens easily. Unlike leather though, it’s much easier to clean. I simply toss this holster into the laundry machine and it comes out brand new. If I found out about this holster sooner, I would have saved a lot of money on lost or stolen knives. It’s definitely worth the investment. Highly recommended to all my chef friends.

Great idea, comfortable, not sturdy enough for professional use.
Comfortable and makes work easy. I would suggest that the manufacturer add removable wooden or plastic sheathes to the inside knife slots as unfortunately since I keep my knives so sharp - I have cut through the bottom of the holster.

excellent
I used mine for a while it was so great it got stolen! glad amazon saves orders so J can get a new one I ditched the hip carry thing and just used it as my line cook chef knife kit 8" chef knife 7" filet bone ing knife pairing knife bread knife all in holsters fit great plus bowl scraper thermometer peeler easy to clean I just throw it in with laundry once a week my cases would fit snug and are not easily removed thus making them secure for average tossing around and being bumped off the table nothing fell out except in the front pocket stuff not the sharps

Doesn't Like Sharp Knives!
This holster is honestly extremely handy... I work as a sushi chef and at my work I have to frequently move from where I prep and butcher the cuts of fish to where the rolls/plates are made. Because I have my own specialty knives for the job, this carrier holds them all. That is, it did up until my knives eventually cut and stabbed through the heavy-duty fabric. This holster barely lasted a month of almost-daily use within a restaurant kitchen. I wish that there was hard-plastic inserts for the pockets of this product that would work as pocket protectors or scabbards when using it with knives. But if you're simply barbequing outside and don't have a lot of room to put your utensils down, this will work great for how often you'll probably end up using it.
