Great, Easy to Use, Compact, External Hard Drive Enclosure
I just received this yesterday and it works great. Extremely simple to use. No tools required. There are two halves to the enclosure that slide apart with a sliding lock on top. You just slide that to open it, slide the halves apart, slide the drive inside, push it down to mount it, which closes the top flap, hook up the cable to the enclosure, and plug the USB end into the computer. That's it. Super fast and easy. No drivers required. And because it's USB 3.0 ready the data transfer is really fast. A lot faster than USB 2.0 which it works with too if that's what you have.I had problems with my laptop which wouldn't boot into Windows. And everything I tried to fix it failed. So I bought this to copy the files off the drive so I can format it and reinstall Windows. The file copying went really fast and I'm formatting it now and it's working great.Another thing that's nice about this enclosure is it's really light and compact. Seems to be about the size of a box of a deck of cards. I have a 4TB Western Digital My Passport external drive that works great. I appreciate all the storage, but it is a bit heavy and not all that compact as it's in a protective case. With this enclosure you could easily carry it in your pocket or include it in whatever you're carrying your laptop in. Rating this 5 stars for affordability, ease of use, compactness, and effectiveness. After writing this review this morning I noticed this is on sale today in a Lightning Deal for $2 less. I was going to buy a second one to use with another drive so did.

Awesome deal
This thing works great, no tools required, and is a fairly solidly built case, and you cannot beat the price. I had an old 2.5 inch Sata drive just sitting in my drawer, 250 GB, that was nearly new when I took it out of my laptop to upgrade to SSD. Now I have a lightweight portable drive I keep in my bag for easy file collection on the go. The LED light works great too, no issues with the firmware, easy hard drive swap with no tools. I would not recommend this for constantly swapping hard drives though, but for what I am doing with it, it is a perfect option, if it was more expensive I would have given it 4 stars, but for the price I am fine with the plastic construction.

Works great on my Mac using it as a SuperDuper backup
Works great on my Mac using it as a SuperDuper backup.Lost points because the flashing blue LED doesn't seem to indicate 'activity'. It just blinks whenever the drive is mounted.

Simple, stylish, and no tools required!
This is a nice little hard drive enclosure for the spare 320 GB laptop hard drive I had lying around not doing anything. Now I can use it as extra storage or for transferring large files from my one computer to another. No tools are required to open this or install the hard drive, which is wonderfully convenient, though it's not immediately clear how the case opens and I struggled with it until I got wise and opened the three-page fold-out manual. There's a piece on the front end that looks like it separates from the rest of the case and that's where I was trying to pull, but that was all kinds of wrong. And I was trying hard so I'm glad I didn't end up breaking it! Sometimes it totally pays to read the manual!First, make sure the switch on the back is in the unlocked position. Then open it by sliding the top and bottom of the case in opposite directions. Once you do this, they slide apart by about 12/16th of an inch and then automatically stop. That other part I mentioned previously will flip down due to gravity, revealing the area to insert the hard drive. Slide the hard drive in label-side up and push. Once it's in as far as it can go, give a little push on that plastic part that flipped down (which will now be mostly up again) and you'll hear and feel it click in place. Finally, toggle the switch on the back to the locked position. It really couldn't be easier! The case is simple and stylish looking, with a matte black top and bottom and a shiny black around the edge. There is a strip of shiny black on the top, and that's where the single white LED light is located. The brand name IAUGO is written above that. There is one micro-USB 3 port on the back and the lock switch I mentioned previously. When I tested it on the USB 3 port of my laptop I was getting between 70-80 Mbps transfer speed for a single 1.7GB file. When I tried on my PC which has no built-in USB 3 ports but has a USB 3 card I was only getting about 35 Mbps. So if you find yourself getting slower than expected speeds, it's because of this enclosure. I always get USB 2 speeds when I use the USB 3 ports on my PC no matter what, even when using a USB 3 flash drive. If I were to be granted one request on what I would do to improve this, it would be to add some grip to the bottom of the case, like some flat rubber feet. The USB 3 cable I used to plug it in to my PC is thick and doesn't bend well, so the cable kind of pushes the enclosure into a cockeyed position when I have it sitting atop my PC case. A micro-USB cable is included and it stays in place fine when I use that cable because it's thinner and bends easier, but I'm keeping that cable in my laptop bag so I can just unplug the enclosure and drop it in my bag without having to wind up and store the USB cable with it.Also included in the box was a small piece of foam about 1" by 1.75". The manual mentions nothing about it so perhaps it's just padding to help keep the enclosure snug in the box?

So far, I've purchased 5 of them. They all work well.
Nice drive enclosure. Looks good, works well. Here's one good use for them. I'm always swapping out old mechanical drives in laptops for new SSD's, after which I have what I thought were old mechanical drives for which I had no use. It occurred to me this is a perfect situation to assemble backup drives for all the laptops in which I had installed the SSD's. So, I pop the old drive in one of these enclosures, plug it in to the laptop and let Windows 10 regularly make a weekly scheduled backup system image of the SSD drive, in case it's ever needed, all for the price of this drive enclosure.

It's also very easy to eject and insert HDDs/SSDs
We ordered a couple of these at work and I've been using them quite a bit for transferring data from drive to drive and backups. They work flawlessly and the data transfer is relatively fast. Not having to use a separate power supply us a HUGE plus. They only have to be plugged into a USB port for both power and data transfer. It's also very easy to eject and insert HDDs/SSDs. I just bought another one to use at home for an external SSD enclosure.

Fantastic little enclosure
Works exactly as advertised. Slide a drive in and go. No tools everything you need is in the box (except the drive of course) I'm using this external enclosure to use an old laptop drive with my Shield TV. Games run from it flawlessly when formatted as internal storage. No external power needed. The only thing to take not of is that is is an ssd or laptop drive form factor. I didn't have any trouble figuring that out from the description but a couple of the other reviewers seemed to.
