Good Starter Reference Book
This book has its flaws, admittedly, but it is a very good over-view piece nevertheless. Really geared to the more novice collector, old hands may find it less informative than expected. There are the usual typos as in almost all books today so don't hold that against it. The author's personal approach to narrative is somewhat refreshing in a field full of dry information. His use of family heirlooms as illustrations is an approach I wish more writers would copy.

Misleading
I have purchased KwikGuide books in the past and have been very pleased with them. I found this to be an exception. There is proportionately little information about dating RPPC s. A good deal of the book is taken up with pages of extant advertisements for cameras as they became popular. Thirteen full pages with space used elsewhere for photographs of cameras. There are many photographs of postcards of folks engaging in a variety of activities, without pertinence to dating them.Chapter 5 was the most useful, as it has examples of stamps and stamp boxes with their corresponding years. With the exception of that chapter, I found this guide to be disappointing. I found more information on a couple of websites than in this book. The back cover lists the "Postcard Galleries" included. If you are looking for some pictures of pictures, or advertisements for vintage cameras this book may be the answer. If you are hoping to use this book as a guide to actually help you date RPPCs, save yourself some money and browse the web for practical information.

RPPC guide
Satisfactory information, best for the beginner in collecting postcards. Easy to find information, good index and illustrations. OK for actual dating card.

Little use for the UK
I have a few books from this series. This one is poor. It's all American so no use for a British Collector. It also gives little information on dating postcards. It was cheap so no point in returning. The other books from this series I use all the time for reference.

USA Version
I Needed it for Uk Postcards so of no use to me, must have been a clue in the wording somewhere but I missed it,
