Bought these to make a mobile base for my 450lb Bandsaw. I always try to overengineer things so bought the 880lb castors. Not sure why some other people had such negative experiences, as they seem well made, especially so for the money. I did follow other peoples advice about uprating the screws. I used #14 x 3 inch square head for the bottom 3 holes on each mounting plate, but used the supplied screws for the top three holes as the load is carried mostly on the bottom. I used an impact driver to drive them home. With something heavy (like a bandsaw) or a workbench. I would not drill pilot holes if you can help it as this will weaken the support. I didn't experience any screws snapping off, but the supplied screws use a 'phillips' head which is prone to rounding out unless you get your shoulder into it while driving them in. A handheld screwdriver probably isn't going to cut it without a pilot hole hence the problems some people have had. I also can't understand the issues some people have written about the instructions. They seemed pretty straightforward. If you can't assemble 3 pieces of metal on each corner from a simple picture then perhaps this product is not for you and you are not the target audience. They template was also perfect with clear instruction and accurate markings. I had no problems assembling it all Lastly some have commented that the 'pivot bolts' (2 per castor) that allow movement and raising are too short and barely enter the nyloc nuts that hold it all together. This was *not* my experience. The metal pieces are initially 'opened out' slightly to allow easy assembly. When tightening the nuts, it is expected that you will tighten them enough to bend the metal folds closer together (but not so tight that they restrict easy movement). This add stability and strength (as well as confidence) as it locks everything securely and the bolt fully enters the nyloc stage of the nut. I would say however that the supplied wrenches to tighten nuts are a little underwhelming and I used my own wrenches to tighten everything except the one at the base of each caster. Tthere is only a very thin gap to access that nut to hold it steady while you tighten the big nut on the top.
