Pretty good
Works great for flattening wood slabs. Really like the changeable blades.

Nice finish. Indexable blades with spares. Nice.

CNC Spoilboard Surfacing Router Bit, 1/2" Shank 3" Cutting Diameter, Carbide Insert Slab Flattening Router Bit Planing Bit Wood Planer Bit Woodworking Tools Comes with 10PCS BladesTested on overhead router i built with a router and a radial arm saw. Nice finish. Really. The usual bit i used left a pattern. I didnt see a pattern with this bit. Very nice. There are 10 blades. Which is strange because If you hit something you're going to have a ding on all four blades so it should either be 8 or 12 I don't understand 10 doesn't really make sense because one thing hits four blades at 30,000 RPM. Anyway that's a nitpick. I love that there are indexable blades basically like I said you get 10 but let's just assume it's really relevant so that gives you eight mistakes each edge or each play gives you four mistakes so it requires four blades to complete the bit so that gives you eight mistakes. If you're really lucky in your mistake doesn't hit all four blades which I don't understand how that would work then you have two extra blades for a couple extra mistakes. All of which seems a little silly so moving on. It's well machined it seems very nice The one issue I had is when I was installing one of the blades the screw wouldn't seat all the way down so I removed the screw and the blade and then I basically force the screw all the way through I think what had happened was in the thread cutting procedure it didn't make it all the way through so when you install the blade and the screw it bottoms out and the blade doesn't tighten down So anyway I remove the blade Jim the screw all the way through and then it was fine It just needed an extra turn or so.Anyway it's very impressive kit easy to recommend. I used to work at a sign shop we had a very large multicam 5000. This would work great with something like that or equally as well on a simple handheld router sled for planing say a guitar body or 8/4 for one of those slab tables.

Probably my nicest bit
I have around 65 hours so far on this for specifically surfacing 2x8 slabs of wood I recovered from a barn that recently collapsed.Extremely well madeHeat dissipation is fantastic

Leaves a clean surface
The accuracy of a CNC machine is dependent on its construction - it’s easy to make the X and Y axes straight and true with linear rails and bearings, and the Z axis motion can be similarly constrained. But the big variable remains the workholding surface - even if the axes are moving in perfect straight lines, if the work surface is wavy and inconsistent, the end result will be wavy and inconsistent too. That’s where this bit comes in - you mount it into your spindle and program a path to cover the entire working area. Then this bit cuts away all the high spots in the work surface, continuing until all the high spots and low spots are gone. Now the work surface is as straight and true as the rest of the machine. The 3” diameter of this bit means it can cover a large area quickly, but it also has heavy power requirements. If your spindle isn’t up to the task, you will have to take a succession of light cuts to get the bed down to level. Takes a bit longer, but the end results are the same.In general a very useful tool to have around to keep your CNC setup as accurate and consistent as possible.

wow
this is a BEAST of a surfacer bit....router or cnc use, 1/2" shank absorbs heat well...the design is just superb, the outer carbide cutters clear out welland cut is very clean... of course, once the bits get dull, expect sloppier cut...extra cutters included, easy removal and install, precisioned machining to allow for easy placement to maintain accuracy.... cut one spoil board so far, and it performed flawless... priced competitive considering the industrial quality of this bit, highly recommended, 4.5 stars

Routing
I used this flattening bit in my router to flatten this cutting board that was too large to go through my bench top planer. It turned out perfect.
