Very nice if you prefer this style over sports watch style. A little tricky to set at first, but works very well from then on. Instructions can be found online if you need to change battery, or if reset needed for daylight savings time or other time zone changes after you discard instruction sheet. Announcer has a slight British accent. Loud enough, but not for the hearing impaired. For visually impaired it works great. This is second similar watch I have purchased as a gift.

So the first thing you see in the manual is that the battery supplied is a demo battery and likely to be low on power, they suggest you bring it to a watch repair to have it replaced. No instructions on opening the back or gettiing the battery out. Replace the battery, you need to move the hands back to 12 and re-program it, forget that step, and it wont work. Instructions talk about the waterproof back and also that it is not waterproof. Instructions tell you not to set the time with the crown, then tell you to pull out the crown and set the time. Just on a lark, i put in a new battery (measured the voltage at 3.25v), went thru the programming, opened it again and measured the voltage, already down to 3.12) so i suspect we will be doing this again shortly.Amazon support for this product is nothing more than a helpful agent looking at the pictures and trying to tell you what he thinks you should do...they point you to the manual that doesnt answer your questions, the manufacture's website has no support other than "email us"....the volume is low, the voice is a British-style male voice.Not an expensive watch by any means but i'm leary after seeing it and also the reviews that say it just stopped working.

The S3 button makes no sound when attempting to set the minutes. I'm not sure if this button is broken or if this button requires a harder push than the others. I don't want to break it. Pretty watch. I ordered this watch at 10:30am today and received it at 7:30pm the same day. Great customer service. Wow.

I bought this watch for my 94 year old mother who is legally blind and has a problem hearing even with hearing aids.I was concerned about how this purchase would "go". She has owned several other brands/models of talking watches but never this brand/model. She has been using this watch for quite a few months now and she could not be happier with its' performance. As of now this is the best talking watch she has owed. It was very easy to set up, has all the functions she needs, announces the day, date and time clearly and my mother has found it very easy to use.

In the past 10 years I have purchased closed to 10-12 watches for my mother who is blind. I've never had difficulty setting the time on watches. However, this watch cannot be set even though I followed the instructions. My guess is that this watch is defective. It will only talk the setting time for the day, time and year but it does not talk the setting time for the time!!! Therefore, I cannot set the time. My mother has been waiting a whole week for this watch. One week is along time for someone who can't see and thus does not know when she wakes up in the middle of the night it is night or morning. I am very disappointed. Now I have to return it and go through the trouble of purchasing another one and waiting for it to arrive.

We return the watch because it was a talking watch and you could not understand it.
