Cute, but nothing like the classics
We LOVE Veggie Tales, own all of them, and are thrilled that our kids enjoy them. That being said, "It's a Meaningful Life" was cute, but it just didn't have the same spark and Biblical connection that we enjoy from other Veggie Tales DVDs. The last few have strayed away from the Bible stories and--while they still teach important lessons--we miss that. I guess it appeals to those who wouldn't consider a Bible-based show, so it has its merits. Larry and Petunia seem to be the main characters in so many of them lately, but maybe I'm reading too much into it? The Silly Songs are as clever as they've always been, just amazing. I actually like the newer songs more than the old school ones as they've been hilariously referencing pop culture. I think this is worth adding to your collection if you're a VT fan, but our kids never ask for this one; "Little Joe" is our favorite and worth adding to your collection. The "3-packs" are a wonderful deal, too, and an easy way to build your collection with some awesome Veggie Tales classics. :)

It's veggie tales. What's not to like?
We always enjoy Veggie Take takes on movies. Very creative, always very funny. We watched them when my children were very little, and ten years later they still love watching them. So do I.

This is my daughters favorite veggie tales ever
This is my daughters favorite veggie tales ever. She LOVES this one. She loves the music. She loves the story. She really gets into it. She gets it. She cries when the little adopted girl is talking to her bear and she sings the closing song. She copies all the facial expressions of the characters and she is horrified when the little football players are mean to the mom. Beautiful work guys. Keep it up. More like this one.

Really disappointed ...
Considering all the material that's out there - this resource turned out to be a mess - didn't really hold true to the original story line - which I can kinda - sorta understand from a copy right perspective - but - the story line seems so tangled up in so many different threads - doesn't even portray a bible perspective story line - like I said - really really really disappointed with this re-do - really had way higher expectations ....

Another classic
We like this one... It's a Lesson in Being Content...............................with who you are...not what you have.... If you're looking for the latter, then Madame Blueberry is the one for you... I've watched "It's a Wonderful Life", I've read "The Polar Express"...both overshadow the plot with humor, wit, good songs and the ever-important moral of the story with your favorite Veggie characters :) As always, fun for the whole family :) iiiiit's a keeper!

I love love love this movie!
This is a great cartoon. I love veggie tales, but this is a new favorite.Struggling with why you are where you are, struggling with why your dreams haven't come true? This cartoon is about a character, Stewart, who didn't see his biggest dream of being a football hero come true, and discovers on a mysterious train ride the reasons God had for him not fulfilling that dream. Perhaps there are lives who wouldn't be touched if your dreams came true, but perhaps your dreams will be fulfilled in a different manner than you could imagine, who knows, but God. This is a great cartoon for everyone, young and old, but especially those who are struggling to find a meaningful life for Christ.

We love Veggie Tales
You just can't go wrong with Veggie Tales. This one is based on "It's a Wonderful Life" and they do a good job with the little references that make it fun for those who are familiar with the classic movie. As usual, I enjoyed a good laugh as the creators put in humor for adults as well as kids. My only complaint with this particular movie is that I wasn't thrilled with the singing voice of the old engineer, who acts as a guide for the "Larry" character. But the story is cute, the moral is great as always, and my kids enjoyed it. Another good addition to the library.
