Years ago my mother made me the fringe jacket. I really liked the idea so I bought the pattern for myself and made the bigger poncho for myself. The pattern is easy to follow. I wanted a CAL Bears poncho to wear over my usual black jacket when I go to the Cal games. I wear a medium yet made the large size to accommodate the jacket underneath. My CAL fabric wasn't the required 60 inches, so I made it in two parts. It was my first pattern to sew with sleeves. It took me several hours to do because of the modifications I had to make and I'm a novice seamstress. And I love it. Go BEARS! (I also made a hat to match but this is from a different pattern.)

I like the most that it is very simple to make. I like LEAST that I have to enlarge the pattern.....that is does not come in sizes larger than XL.
