Efficient
This product is by far a five plus star. My wife was complaining that she had to always run the dryer twice to get the cloths dry. I checked behind the dryer and it wasn’t a direct connection. Extra vent hose behind the dryer. I saw this on Amazon and figured I’d try it. That changed everything, easy to install direct connections, no hose behind the dryer and very neat. The magnets are very strong for a solid connection. Cloths dry like they should, such a great idea by the manufacturer. I’m 100% satisfied.

Great product!
I searched and searched options to avoid the painful experience of reconnecting a dryer exhaust vent. My washer and dryer are located in a finished alcove so both must be moved to clean lint from the vent. The dryer tubing runs a little more than the dryer width and horizontally along the floor. I measured many more times than twice before purchase to have confidence the product chosen would fit. Fortunately, the Magvent 90 did. The most important measurement was from the wall to the back of the dryer. Installation was quite straightforward in that the bracket attached to the wallboard as expected (4 screws were used). Of course, I measured the exit from the dryer for bracket placement off the floor. A metal collapsible tube was used to connect the Magvent to the elbow in the wall rather than rigid tubing suggested. Altogether, this went VERY well. The magnet is quite strong and has a cone configuration at the hole so it nested into place with no problem. Because the magnet is strong, I anticipate that I may ultimately need to shorten the collapsible tubing attached to the back of the dryer but that will be easy if it's necessary. In summary, this is a fabulous product and an easy DIY project.

Every dryer should have one of these. Much safer !
I used this in my basement renovation with a recessed firebox. The two items used together pose much less risk of a dryer fire and allows the dryer to sit much closer to the wall for a sleeker look.

A fantastic solution to an age-old problem
I've wrestled with all types of dryer vents over the years, and they've always been klugey affairs, most with long aluminum tubes that bend, dent, break or develop holes. We recently had a clogged drain, and the plumbing guy had to move the dryer to get to that portion of the sewer line. When I realized later that the dryer vent had come loose in the process, I decided to see if there was a better system out there. There was. And this is it.As soon as I found this on Amazon, I knew it was going to be exactly what I needed, and it did not disappoint. It's very well designed and built, solid materials and construction. Nothing flimsy or cheap about it, and they include four drywall anchors for the wall bracket and a hose clamp for attaching the coupler to the dryer. The magnets are as strong as they need to be: strong enough to mate to each other, but not so strong that you can't pull them apart when moving the dryer away from the wall. Some reviewers thought the MagVent is overpriced, but that is nonsense. You get what you pay for, and this product is well worth it. We now have great airflow, the clothes are drying faster, and I never have to deal with the old venting methods ever again. My installation: Our outside wall vent actually sits just behind the washing machine about 18" above the garage floor, so the ducting has to make a hard right as soon as it comes out of the wall. I tore everything out, including the wall vent, and started over. First, I installed a new vent through the outside wall and secured it with screws, then added a 90-degree close elbow and attached that to the wall. I then measured where the outlet sits on our dryer and transferred those dimension to the wall, and secured the 90-degree MagVent mounting bracket to the wall using the four included drywall anchors and screws. I placed the MagVent in its bracket, measured the distance between the MagVent and the close elbow on the wall vent, cut a piece of 4" sheet metal ducting to fit, joined all the pieces and wrapped them with 3M aluminum foil tape, and placed the assembly in the MagVent wall bracket. I then attached the MagVent coupling to the outlet vent on the dryer using the included hose clamp, and pulled the coupler out a little bit to make sure the coupler would be able to reach its mate on the wall.I pushed the dryer back into position and heard the "click" of the two magnetic couplers joining, and visually verified that they were connected. It was like watching a space shuttle docking to the mother ship. Voila!! No more messing with crappy dryer venting. Yay!!! Thank you, MagVent! Highly recommend!
