A great little collection of shorts, prequels, epilogues, revisits and teaser to some great authors
This was a great collection of short stories written to support Ukraine. I love that so many authors both known and unknown to me took the time to try and make a difference by raising money for human rights organisations and relief in Ukraine. And I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but how gorgeous is this one? I've done a quick run down of the stories I read below. I didn't read them all because I'm a bit of stickler for starting a series from the beginning so if it was a prequel or an established series from the author that contributed the story, I didn't read it properly but have added this to my 'Authors to come back to' shelf for the future. There were fifty short stories so I've kept my synopsis for each one fairly brief. She's the One - Helena Hunting: Features Stevie and Shippy from A Favour for A Favour. Meet cute about Shippy's brother and one of Stevie's friends.Expansion - Kate Canterbary: This was a good taster of Shannon and Will from this author's Walsh series. I haven't read it but this made me want to try it. It was early enough in the anthology that I was tried a series teaser here and there lol.Famine's Homecoming: Laura Thalassa: A Famine catch-up. I didn't read it as I have Famine on my TBR.Queenside - Skye Warren: A catch-up of Avery and Gabriel from this author's completed series The Pawn. Avery has a new job but it's not all it's cracked up to be. The ending was a bit convenient but it was nice to read about this couple again.A Little Surprise - Katee Robert: I didn't read this as I haven't read the Neon Gods series - this was a Hades and Persephone carry on.Aveke - Tijan: I really enjoyed this one about a down on her luck girl and a rich, privileged boy. It'll become a longer novella in the future, apparently.A Summer in Paradise - Jennifer Probst: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Daddy's Little One Night Stand - Honey Meyer: Didn't read (established series)Old Money - Amelia Wilde: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)It Started in Paris - Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss: This was a sweet story about a second chance at love in Paris.Doing it Right Prequel - Harloe Rae: Didn't read - it was a prequelLast Second Chance Prologue - Robin Coington: Didn't read - prequelMenace has a Beautiful Face - Jenika Snow: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Never Too Late - K.A. Linde: This was a decent story but it made me want to set things on fire because the female lead gave in too easy lol.Bonus Epilogue from Boyfriend Bargain - Isla Madden-Mills: Didn't read as it was an epilogue and I haven't read the original bookOur Story - Melanie Moreland: This was a cute story on childhood sweethearts.Professor Platonic - Lucy Lennox: MM college romance short.Royal Elite Bonus Epilogue - Rina Kent: Didn't read as it was an epilogue and I haven't read the original bookThere is NO HOLE in Kindness - L.B. Dunbar: This was an easy to read meet cute about a baker. The Dance - Kandi Steiner: The author contributed a poem which I thought was a great idea as it wasn't expected.Always and Forever - Dylan Allen: I didn't read this as I didn't know the main characters. The Perfect Distraction - Piper Rayne: Age gap story set in a small town.'Beard in Hiding' Extra Scene - Penny Reid: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)The Whitney - Alta Hensley and Livia Grant: Didn't read - prequelTrauma - Julia Kent: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Unstoppable - Brittney Sahin: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)A Feather in the Flames - Brenda Rothert: This was a thoughtful but bittersweet story of two people who found comfort in each other in war.Homecoming - Rebecca Yarros: A cute best friends to lovers short.Asher Black: A Bonus Scene as told by Asher - Parker S. Huntington: I haven't read this book but was sucked in. A mafia read that sounds really good. This short was written from a different point of view to the original story.Dear Delaney - Kelsey Clayton: Holy jeebus, this was sad. A story about a couple (who obviously loved each other very much) at the end of their life. One was terminal and the other found their love letters. I bawled - keep your tissues handy because it was bittersweet. Why do you hate me, Kelsey Clayton??? lolSEALing his Future - Susan Stoker: Didn't read (established series)Every Piece of You - Terri E. Laine: Second chance story for high school sweethearts from an established series (this was just in the same world). If Only They Saw the World Like You... - A. L. Jackson: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Hard Score - Rachel Van Dyken: Based around a proposal - I only skimmed this as I didn't know the characters.I Wanna Be Yours - Xio Axelrod: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Love Letters - Jay Crownover: I loved this one. It was a cute, second chance, opposites attract that followed the couple from fifth grade to adulthood. The Rematch - Sienna Snow: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Twisted Bonus Scene - Ana Huang: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Hacker in Love - Lauren Rowe: Cute instalove story from a pair of this author's side characters (Henn and Hannah)Morning Coffee...and Stuff with Hook and John - Gina L. Maxwell: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Paper Ring - C. Hallman and J. L. Beck: I'm not normally into age gap romances, but this was a really good read about a woman married young, basically abandoned by her husband until she grew up a bit and then re-claimed.Protected - Rebecca Zanetti: Didn't read (haven't read the original series)Rescue Me - Samantha Chase: A story about an injured marine who gives one of the worst grovels I've ever read - he broke up with his childhood sweetheart and then didn't contact her for seven years only for her to basically fall at his feet.A Beaumont Family Christmas Epilogue - Heidi McLaughlin: Didn't read (haven't read the original series)Zodiac Academy: The Shimmer Springs - Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti: Didn't read (haven't read the series)Royal Oath - T. K. Leigh: Didn't read - prologueSmolder - Aly Martinez: Didn't read (haven't read the series)The Blessings of Ethan Blackstone - Raine Miller: This was only a taster so I didn't read it.Taken by Moonlight - Pepper Winters: I didn't read it as it was a taster from her new book. The Last Ward Wedding - Karla Sorensen: Didn't read - it's an established story and I haven't read the original. The Night We Met - Susannah Nix: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)The Procedure - Katie Ashley: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Through Her Eyes - Kelly Elliott: Didn't read - it was a sneak peak.Truce - Willow Aster: This was a good taster of this author's Kingdom books. I'm keen to look into these in the future.Wolf Ranch Legacy - Vanessa Vale and Renee Rose: Didn't read - series tasterA Little Bit in Love With You - Willow Winters: Didn't read (haven't read the original book)Post-It Notes - Debra Anastasia: Didn't read (haven't read the series)Constellations - Catherine Cowles: This was a cute, first pregnancy story.Dirty Crazy Bad - Siobhan Davis: Didn't read - Young Adult prequelGravity - Aleatha Romig: Didn't read (haven't read the series)Just One Spark - Carly Phillips: Didn't read (haven't read the series)Love You the Most - Carian Cole: Didn't read - this was a teaserMovie Night - Roni Loren: A story about a three-way with 80s references. Our New Forever - Claudia Burgoa: Didn't read (haven't read the original series)Playhouse - Amo Jones: This was fine to read but I found it didn't really go anywhere. There was potential for a future risque relationship, however.Pucks, Sticks and a New Barn - Toni Alea: Didn't read (haven't read the series)Room Enough for Two - Sara Ney: Cute story about a mixed up cabin booking between an NFL star and pediatrician.Sweet Temptation - A. Zaverelli and Natasha Knight: These authors were the reason I bought this anthology and they didn't disappoint. This was a prequel to Judge and Mercedes' trilogy that has just been released. The Match - Natalie Wrye: A meet cute about a waitress and her customer. The Offering - Shantel Tessier: This was a good start to a story but there wasn't any closure. I'd read this series, though.

Never again
This type of marketing compilation doesn’t work for me. Painful to read. Worth only because it is for a good cause. Discovered two good writers among dozens. Most of the stories have no substance and merely written as marketing bite.

This was a great collection of authors some intriguing storylines. Giving us a glimpse in to these new worlds or different character points of view.Siobhan davis review dirty crazy bad. This was a different storyline running along side the sainthood series so crossover of character. This was Ashley, her long term boyfriend Chad and her addition love interest Jase story. This was intriguing, dramatic, suspenseful and steamy. With a little twist to a new character bulldozing into her life Haynes (Ares). Leavingbus ready for more.
