I live in Phoenix. Last summer we had a solid month of 110+ degree days. This summer I have a new, high energy dog and I knew he’d make both our lives hell if I couldn’t find a way to keep him exercised. So I bought this vest back in April.It’s now June, most days are already over 100 degrees and often close to 110, and we use this thing daily. We don’t walk in the worst parts of the day, of course. But this morning we did a 5.25 mile, 2 hour walk, with the temp rising from 80 degrees to 88, and he only started panting in the last 15 minutes or so. He only needed one drink of water about mid-walk. It’s amazing.Some caveats: this works by evaporative cooling, so idk how well it would work in humid climates. Here in the dry-as-bone desert, it works GREAT—but the water evaporates so fast that I usually have to add water a few times during a long walk. It’s best to press the mouth of the water bottle directly against the fabric. If I just pour it over, most of the water runs off before it soaks in. Also, I keep keep the whole soaking wet vest in a ziploc bag in the refrigerator, and I even pop it into the freezer for just a few minutes before we go. It starts him off on the walk nice and cool.My only other complaint is that the elastic loop that lets you adjust the fit of the waist is located very inconveniently for male dogs. You can use a paper clip to tuck it out of the way against the vest, but still. Annoying.My dog is 12 lb and wears an XS. It’s a little bit loose on him when he’s freshly groomed (he’s a poodle mix), but when his fur is longer it’s perfect. The neon yellow has faded a bit, but who cares? The thing works. The loops to attach his leash have held up perfectly, although he is small and not a puller so YMMV.(Note: the neon leash in my pics is not included, I bought that separately.)

We brought our Siberian Husky from England in 2021 and bought him this jacket from Amazon. It was delivered quickly and it works perfectly.We groom him regularly and with this jacket we can put ice in it and even with the tropical climate the ice lasts for a few hours in his jacket. It fits him really well and he’s happy with it on. Superb!

It really works and definitely helps our black dog hike more! It doesn't stay dry for long and it isn't super absorbent, but we have found the best way to do it is either squish it in a stream or a bag. Usually we carry a bag to put a little water in and massage it around. You can recharge it without taking it off but it is much more effective in the bag and uses a lot less water, which is important if there aren't a ton of streams. Our guy isn't a fan of water but he is ok with the jacket, he just usually refuses to go in the water to recharge it.Pros:- Light color but still bright edging for visibility- Cleans up well, still looks pretty good despite copious mud- Built in leash clips- Keeps pup cool when wetCons:- Leash clips are awkward, but too far apart- Zipper sticks when it gets muddy/dusty- Doesn't hold a ton of water

We really love the simple, effective design of this fantastic product. the built in harness, with straps and attachment eyes are very durable and well made. The most important thing however, is that this keeps our pet safe and comfortable in the very worst of high heat conditions. We use it daily during hot periods. This design keeps our little guy cool, comfortable and safe and relieves us of worry most of all. This vest is an absolute must for those who own Bull Dogs especially, since they are very prone to heat stroke and over heating. This is no exaggeration; THIS VEST CAN SAVE YOUR DOG'S LIFE AND HEALTH.

Fits well (adjustable to two sizes), holds in dampness and keeps her cool when we walk in the hot summer afternoons. Easy to put on and take off.

I have a lab pit mix and ordered size by the chart and had about 4 inches of clearance in the stomach chest area. I have now ordered an extra large and we’ll see how that fits.I’m going on a long hot drive and hope this will help Sammy be more comfortable.Looks well-made and I like the fabric and colors and that it’s sturdy enough to attach a leash to.

Love it, WILL buy again in the future.We have a dachshund with an undersized heart who struggles in the heat. Before using this vest, when we took her for a short walk to the playground less than two blocks away and back, she would lie on her side at the AC vent for a long time to cool down once we got home.With this vest, on that same walk, she returns home still full of energy and often wants to go outside into the backyard. The evaporative cooling nature of this vest works exceptionally well for her.Be sure to carefully check the sizing chart and measurements instead of assuming the size based on previous harnesses or other products. Our dachshund is usually a "Medium" for most products, but according to the sizing chart for this item, she is a Small. The Small is almost too big, so I will likely go one size down when this one eventually wears out.

I questioned if this would work. While its no ice pack and i needed to re-wet it once of twice, it really stayed cool!

This arrived just as the heat wave in British Columbia began. It was 30 degrees today, and it is only May! I have used a cooling vest for years now, and the old one needed replacing. This one is way better than my previous one. It has a double zipper, I assume for different widths of dogs and it was nice and comfy on my pup Acorn. It is really well made with two layers, so when both layers are wet, it lasts longer. If you are out for longer you just wet it again. I also like that you don't need a harness with this one. We had a good walk in the park, mostly in the shadier parts and Acorn was perfectly happy. Just remember to keep your pups off the concrete and tarmac so they don't burn their paws.

Au début de l'été, mes chiens (1Malamute et 1 Golden) avait très très chaud. Je pensais avoir trouvé la solution idéale! J'ai donc acheté cette veste et une autre, d'une autre marque. Ni l'une ni l'autre on fait leur travail. Après plusieurs tentatives, elles ne gardent pas le froid. Mes chiens suaient quand je leur installais sur le corps, même en suivant les instructions à la lettre.Par contre, je dois avouer qu'elles sont très belles. Le tissus et les coutures sont de bonnes qualités mais leurs couleurs sont beaucoup trop pâles.Elles sont extrêmement cher pour en avoir vu en boutique d'animaux par la suite a beaucoup moins cher! À mon avis, ces vestes ne gardent aucunement le froid. Elles sont belles, certes, mais à quoi bon la beauté, n'étant pas le but! Malheureusement je dois dire ... À NE PAS ACHETER !!!
