Cool little anvil and it's functional
My husband recently got into smithing and I bought this as a gift for him to display on his desk at work. However, he actually put it to use and has hammered several of his small silversmithing projects on it. He loves it and prefers the new and improved used look it has now.

Terrific for small jeweler type anvil needs
Perfect, better than I hoped and great for small projects. I’m going to put a .25 inch rubber Flexseal base on it to keep it from scratching or denting tabletops or skidding when struck with a small hammer. I’ll add a photo when done

Looks Awesome on my desk at work.
This is a handsome piece of equipment. The surfaces are smoothed, edges rounded and the chrome is highly polished. I am a retired welder/fabricator and bought this as a conversation piece. It would be very useful as a tool as well. It looks Really Cool. I would recommend this Anvil as a Good Thing.

Tiny anvil. Good for fabric rivets.
Purchased for my wife who sometimes makes fabric and leather bags. She had a hard time setting rivets in places, but this anvil gave her a solid backing, which improved the riveting.

Lopsided -will return and try again
The first anvil I received is lopsided. The top plane is not parallel with the bottom plane. The top surface of the horn is yet another plane. I am returning the first one and will give PMC a second try and update this review. The polish on the working surfaces is nice but I wish the top edges were rounded over a little (instead of sharp edges), especially on the horn. Also, the anvil I received is 29.2 ounces, so not quite a full two pounds.
