You're doing it wrong
This IS a direct fit for my 1998 Cherokee XJ. When you take your old light off, remove the bulb from the socket and plug the new brake light directly into the bulb socket. Perfect fit!This DOES NOT plug into the harness. It plugs into the bulb socket.

Power Connector is not a match
I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport. And as you can see from the picture, my original plug from the light is a two prong. The plug with us a “Christmas” light plug and not OEM compatible.

Updating your light's on your jeep
Easy to install, the adhesion sticker that's provided in the box seals it up perfect took 10 minutes to install a great update and at the price was a good deal 32 and some change.. I recommend this product very satisfied

Check connection on your current vehicle first, doesn't fit ALL...
Does NOT fit my 1997 XJ as described. The connectors are totally different and I wish this BS would stop on Amazon, I'm about to cancel Amazon and head back to EBAY .....VERY DISSATISFIED!!!!
