La Tienda Handmade Ceramic Large Divided Appetizer Dish (13 in. wide)

Extremely disappointed that what I received was not what was pictured. The photo shows a product with a lot more handpainting and colours than what is actually received. For handpainted ceramics, the base plate is the same. The amount of detail, colours and work that goes into the actual paint job is what sets the price on the piece. While the divided plate I received is essentially the same ceramic dish, it has nowhere near the amount of detail and effort that is shown on the product in the photo. To start, the painting on the edges of the plate and the sections is shown as blue at the circles, with green and yellow lines alternating to the centre; my plate is all blue on the edges both round and straight. In the photo, the flowers in each divided section are painted in alternating colours of blue, yellow and green; the plate I received has 2 colours: a reddish-orange and an orangey-red alternating. They look very similar and from across the room they look the same. The centre flower is a light blue that is nowhere else on the plate. None of the colours really co-ordinate with each other in a pleasing way as shown in the product photo. In addition in the product photo, there is a lot of detail painted into each flower section, but the plate I received is missing all the little painted dots surrounding the flower bouquet and the little handpainted swirls stemming from the bouquet. There are just flower bouquets (blobs) and nothing else. If you look at their actual website picture, it has even less detail than this one posted here. The plate I received is less detailed than the one on their website. While I understand that the actual piece would be different because of its handpainted nature, I did not expect this much difference in the amount of effort, materials (number of colours), and artistic talent that was put or not put into the actual item I received. It really does feel as though I was caught in a bait and switch at some foreign marketplace stall.
