I ordered this for my Ford F150 truck since I hated the long flimsy stock antenna. It was the first time ordering an antenna replacement and the installation was super simple. I get the same reception from this shorty antenna vs the stock one.

2017 Ram 3500 DRW. The reception was unchanged and the antenna no longer whips around on the highway washboard. It compliments the truck nicely. I did have to modify the stud that threads into the truck and antenna. I had to use a saw and cut off about 3/4" - 1" off each side so it would bottom out and thread all the way down to the mount on the truck. Without cutting it down, it had a noticeable and tacky gap between antenna and mount. I didn't like that and wanted a cleaner look. Also, the little elephant logo rubbed right off. It is only screen printed or stamped on. No big deal, looks better without it. Worth it for the price. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the stud had to be modified in order for it to seat correctly on the truck. I attached one picture of the same antenna in white. I tried it for a bit, but did not prefer the look over the black one.

It gave zero reception for my radio and I tried every one of the connectors twice. Note: there were NO instructions included.

I’ve had the stubby 3” ones and the reception is only good for strong stations.. not that I listen to the actual radio anymore cause I connect Bluetooth but it’s a strong signal and way shorter that the stock one.
