It's a battery pack but...
Upon receiving, I immediately noticed the battery I ordered had the wrong connector. I specidlfied the XT60 connector but received the T style connector. Annoying but not a show stopper since I'm capable and just cut the connector off and soldered to my box since this is for a motorized wheelchair and I really needed a replacement battery that would fit. Next, I picked up the power supply and was SHOCKED at how lightweight it is. It weighs a couple ounces. I've never had an AC power supply that weighed as little as this one. Then I started looking at it. 29.4V output, not the expected 24V and no safety certification markings, whatsoever. At least they're honest in labeling and didn't just illegally slap a certification on it. The AC power supply in the picture shows certifications, but the power supply I received has none. I plugged it into the battery anyway, but stayed close by as I didn't want to burn my house down. When plugged in and no load, the power supply illuminates the LED as green. I plugged it into the battery and the LED illuminated red I'm assuming to indicate it's charging. I accidentally bumped it after a few minutes and the LED switched to green. No way it was done charging the battery. Unplugged and plugged the battery in again, back to red. When I picked up the power supply, I noticed it was extremely hot. I allowed it to charged until the LED switched to green, but again, supervised. I unplugged the power supply and tested the battery's voltage. Sure enough, 29.4v, not the listed 24v. Since it came direct from the manufacturer and took several weeks to arrive, I decided to install it in my electric wheelchair battery box anyway. I also planned on using the factory power supply that came with the wheelchair. Hooked it all up, attached my factory power supply, not the one supplied with the battery and it indicated charging, for a couple more hours. So, the power supply provided is not only complete junk, but also a safety concern. Additionally, the battery is supposed to be 24v, but charges to and outputs 29.4v. My original power supply is 24v out so I'll see how it charges in the future. I haven't installed it in the wheelchair yet to see if it even works to power the chair without catching fire or see how long it lasts, but the issues so far place this at a 1 for me and it can't go down from there. If it performs as I hope, I will increase the star rating with the caveat that you may need to count on replacing the connectors and/or AC power supply.
