I gave this 'scope a quick try-out & it is an excellent entry level tool. I have not used it "in anger" yet 😀 . But am very happy with what I have seen so far.

I have spent a couple of hours using this instrument now and it continues to amaze me with its features and ease of use. Of very good design and build quality.A few issues to highlight...The mains lead had a European plugOnly one 'normal' probe - the 2nd is a high voltage type.The data decode works well but has a very short message length. On UART for instance it is just 5 bytes.

This was a joy to use after my experience using a couple of analog scopes in the past. It's great to have the various signal measurements like RMS and peak and frequency all laid out in front of you. I use it for audio mainly so I can't comment on the high frequency performance. Some minor complaints are it's sometimes difficult to sync the waveform at sub 1V signals and the voltage meter mode readouts wobble up and down a lot and should be averaged better. It would get 6 stars if it had its own internal battery!

There's no argument that for the cost this is a remarkable product and very good value for money. There are a couple of irritating issues with this scope though with random locking up/trigger issues (intermittant) but the main problem is the firmware has not been updated since 2021 (at best).You need to think about its unsupported nature. No development for 3 years is an indication its being replaced or the programmers have gone. Either way if you are looking long term there are alternatives such as the PicoScope of which I have two the one I use for Audio only costing £95 and my bench scope a 4CH model 3000D. Why the Hantek, when I'm in the kitchen chatting to the wife while she's cooking and I have faulty LED lighting drivers to fix as its fine for checking waveforms at 800 Kbps.I should add that I have mailed Hantek and they do respond although not about the stalled development.

This came very well packaged and a TON of things to utilize. It also came with a set of instructions which I was hoping it would as this is my first oscilloscope I've purchased. Did not disappoint. It has 2 channels and 150MHZ. I didn't want to spend an astronomical amount being I have no knowledge in using them but know I could have used one on several occasions over the years. This is what I would consider an "entry level " one but so far does everything I have needed it for. Definitely worth it IMO. I'm not a noob when it comes to computers and circuit building. I love it. I cannot speak of the long-term use and stamina of the product because I just received it but hopefully it performs just as well over time. You will need Windows to install any upgrades to the software. All of my computerss use some type of Linux Distro but my sons gaming desktop I built him runs on windows so it was no problem. 10/10 will purchase an upgraded version of the same manufacturer if it continues to outperform my expectations as this one has.
