Good book, but print is not perfect
The the book is good, very similar to my Talk To Me In Korean Hangul master book. Unfortunately the print quality for the practice section is very poor q, the faint print of the character for help are not always present as well as the dividing sections being a bit hit and miss. Ultimately it will still be of great help for learning, just not the highest quality print in the purposely faint section.Good size book, with plenty of clear instructional help. Despite the problem above, there is plenty of room to practice the characters.

I would recommend this for people starting to learn Japanese
A good introduction to Japanese. Works well with the accompanying video.

It's early days, but I'm liking this book a lot.
I was looking for a book that would upskill my terrible Hiragana and Katakana writing skills. I am sure there are small children out there that are better thane me. However, this book is exactly what I was looking for.The book shows you how to write the characters correctly. It shows the correct or best direction to create the character strokes so that characters are more regular, neat and recognisable. I'm now starting to write like a Japanses 5 year old but you've got to start somewhere.I would throughly recommend this book if you are starting to get serious about writing Japanese.

Audio is a YouTube video with ads
It’s good practice, but the methodology is just to write out every single katakana and then practice - there’s no way I could learn them by just copying all 47 of them a few times. Also, the audio is on YouTube but the videos have ads on them which is frustrating when you just want to practice but you have to sit through ads instead.
