Well made and worked perfectly. A good product

Does the job of soil sampling and fairly robust

Needed it to take cores in a cricket square and it did the job perfectly.

I think this product would work really well for sandy/ soft/ dry soils but for heavy clay soils it just didn’t work well at all. It’s not sharp enough on the end to pierce the topsoil so it ends up compressing the soil down making it very hard to get the soil sample back out. It’s a heavy solid piece of metal so feels very sturdy just poorly designed for its use. Hoping I can make the product more effective myself by making the end sharper.
