I needed flash cards because I wished r to create an activity for a workshop that I run for adults. I spent a long time looking because I wanted a variety of colors and they needed to be a particular size. I came across these on Amazon and ordered them. You can never be 100% sure that you'll receive what you order on Amazon because photos can be deceiving but in this instance I was pleasantly surprised. The cards are the perfect size and made of a good, durable stock. I have used them over and over again without noticeable wear and tear. The container is not the strongest plastic and if I had my way I'd ask for a more rigid material because I would have liked to have kept the cards in the container, however, this does not detract from the fact that this is an incredibly good product and a great buy at the price. I will definitely purchase again.

The perfect size for writing haiku, tanka, and other Japanese short poetry forms. I store them in a business card 3-hole plastic holder in a 3-ring binder, currently divided by plastic tabs by journal/anthology names so that I can organize what's been submitted and accepted. The cards are very sturdy, easy to write on, and are of great quality. I am sure that over time I will find many more uses for these cards! I love that they are different colors also. The plastic box is sturdy.

I used these as flashcards for school. One side was more difficult to write on than the other for some reason. Before this, I was cutting notecards in half. It was great to find a smaller size. You can use the colors to organize your flashcards for different topics. You can also utilise the colors to study in different ways than just memorization. They were good quality and not thin like paper. I found these very useful and will likely order again next semester.

I like the cards because they are unlined. That lets me adjust my handwriting to how much space is available and not get writers cramp. I use a hole punch to make a corner hole, and then stick binder rings in them. Great for organizing. I like the colors because I was assigning different colors to different subjects. The one flaw in this product is that the plastic case is only a standard plastic clamshell product package with the added feature that you can open and close it. If you drop the case or it gets knocked over, there is a good chance that it will spill open and you have to pick them up. The case also doesn't allow any leeway to put something slightly different size in them. This is better than the half index card size because it lets me write more sideways with longer lines instead of having to wrap around as often.

I have begun to teach myself Latin, and I ordered these cards to use as inexpensive flashcards. I thought the paper and box would both be pretty flimsy, given the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find paper quality equal to normal 3x5 cards. I can write and draw on both sides with a thick black gel pen and nothing shows through. Also the box is wonderful. It's very sturdy, with a flip up lid and strong Velcro closure. I can store the cards in the box and not worry about it falling apart with years of use. As an extra, I was happy to see that the box is a bit taller than the cards, so I've been able to insert cardboard dividers. I use them to keep track of my review sessions.. It's great to be able to close the lid firmly on everything. This is a great product at a great price. I'll definitely be buying more.

I was not sure that I made the right decision in getting index cards, even when I got them today I was a bit on the fence. But when i took out individual cards and wrote some Spanish vocabulary words, and then practiced some Chinese characters on others, I liked them quite a bit. I think my initial issue was the size and price. I thought that the size was small and the price was less, therefore the quality must be on par with the 99 cent variety. But I was wrong. I do like the size and the quality is sturdier. I like the colors too. I finished the first 1,100 cards with Chinese characters and Spanish verbs, and to gain fluency I need to do another 1,000 more characters, so Debra Dale Designs to the rescue. -Disclaimer- I was motivate to write this review in order to receive a discount, however, this review is honest and fair and solely based on my own experience with the product.

For those who want to know, these are the type of index cards that are “old fashion” as in the card paper that makes it easy to use as flash cards and not the stuff that’s obviously paper cut to size. I was concerned after reading other reviews on this. Also, the holding box is just glossy paperboard. So, yeah, if you drop it, it will not hold up. However, it works to hold the cards until you use them. Worth the price and nice to know these came from a U.S.A. Company... hope they stay in business being they operate in business hating California.

Bought for studying vocabulary words, the colors help me to sort them by category. I also bought a hole puncher to punch holes in them and bind them with binder rings, which I recommend. The Swingline 20 sheet hole puncher works very well for this, doesn't hurt my hand like regular hole punchers would with cardstock. The size is convenient for putting in my bag to study when I have a spare moment, with still enough space to write a decent amount on each card.
