I had to order 3 different mortars and pestle sets, either cheap quality or too big. Finally this one is small and cute, excellent quality marble, the feeling is superb, packaging is professional, and the price is great!

I bought it for Saffron, it served well, If only it had a rough finish on the inside to grind better. But I love it

Good quality, a bit heavy, but it's really small ( compare it to the hand picture ) this s the real dimension

The quality is great, even the packaging was fantastic. I just wish it was a big bigger.

First, I love the tiny size. Great for smashing pills into powder (pet owners love this). Second, the entire set is made of onyx; the grinding part of the pestal is onyx, pills don't stick to it, nor do they stick to the onyx mortar. One of my cats, who is very tiny and cannot swallow pills, needs medicine twice daily. I just crush the pills to powder (no effort at all required) and add to her food. Third, I need to keep it on my kitchen counter where I prepare the cat's food, and it takes up such a tiny bit of space. The green/beige color is neutral and won't detract from your decor. The price was great also!
