I haven't used one of these before but it's amazing. I'm using it for cutting fabric, specifically velvet that's very hard to cut with a cutter or regular scissors. It cuts through it like it's nothing and it's easy to maneuver and cut on a straight line. I have also tried it on cardboard and regular paper.There's an extra blade, yet I don't see myself needing it for a while. In addition to that, it came with a charger and a nice container to keep it safe away from my kids' reach.

Electric scissors are game changer for a sewist! I haven't used any other electric scissors so it's possible these are only ok and I don't know it, but I LOVE them. I've been using them for about a month now. It's so easy to cut fabric now, but the scissors just slide through. No more jagged edges and it's easy to get straight lines. I love these electric scissors. I honestly didn’t think I’d use them as much as I do. I had to make a large full chiffon petticoat for under her friends wedding dress the scissors cut that fabric out like a hot knife through butter. It was great best part my hands didn’t hurt at all as I usually do and cutting yard in yards of fabric.

The tool works great to cut cardboard of different sizes, which has been primarily for what I have been using it. It allows you to make curved cuts if needed, compared to other rotary cutting tools. I would give this a 5 star if:1.- The security button worked. The button in the middle, right on top of the trigger doesn't seem to do anything in particular. It would be nice if there were a lock to prevent activating the scissors.2.- There's no indicator of battery life and the charger only has a red light that turns on when the scissors are charging. The light turns off when it is charged, but if you leave the scissors connected for too long, the battery might not work any more (manufacturer recommends no more than 5 hours of charging, so you better have an alarm to remind you when to unplug the scissors from the charger).All in all, a great tool with some room for improvement
